Comfortable and beautiful hotel!

Posted Jan 14, 2015
Pros: Food, cleanliness, comfort, staff.
Location: A brief walk from the Plaza de Armas and hence a brief walk from restaurants, churches, museums, etc.
Stayed here alone for six days while exploring Cusco and Machu Picchu. This hotel is quite lovely, very comfortable and quiet yet within an easy walk of almost everything. The staff was very helpful and did their very best to make my stay fantastic. In addition the breakfast buffet was more than enough food to get me going every morning!

Hotel with character

Posted Jan 12, 2015
I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. Overall, it was a quiet place with a lot of character. The bed was very comfortable and the room clean. The restaurant was excellent as well. I had the seafood risoto and it was delicious. The wait staff were friendly and attentive. My only issues were that my room didn't have a tv or telephone (others do). Although it didn't really matter in the long run, I would have appreciated knowing this in advance. Also, the hotel failed to deliver a telephone message to me about the pick up time for my trip to Machu Picchu, which also made me realize how little English the staff know. They seem to know a few key sentences that would make you think they know English, but everything I said to them they answered, "no problem" when completely out of context. I had waited around for that message for 2 hours when I could have been out exploring the city. Overall, I'd stay there again, knowing what I now know.

Muy agradable lugar, excelente atención. Habíamos hecho reservación para 2 adultos y 2 niños, que en el hotel no tenían registrados y nos ayudaron amablemente a encontrar una solución. La habitacion era grande y calientita.

Nice quiet hotel

Posted Nov 26, 2014
Pros: Very helPaul staff. Restaurant is amazing!
Cons: More curtains as they have sensor lights that are bright. Which turn on as people return to their rooms late at night.
Location: E blocks from main plaza which is not that far and there are plenty of places to eat and shop closer.
Greeted by friendly and helpful staff upon checkin. Always happy to help and any issues they fixed or tried their absolute best to do so. We stayed four nights and re booked another night with them after doing the Inca trek. Definitely worth the money.

Spanish villa close to plaza

Posted Nov 20, 2014
Pros: 17th century Spanish villa charm. comfortable bar with fireplace to warm up on cold nights.
Location: just down the hill from the entrance to sacsayhuaman, and a few blocks uphill from the plaza de Armas
A few short blocks from the plaza and you enter an old Spanish villa with a warm fireplace in the bar. This location is extremely comfortable, quiet, and romantic (if that's what you're looking for). The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. I can't say enough about how I enjoyed this stay!
