Excellent, friendly, and affordable

Posted May 4, 2015
Warm welcome from knowledgable staff. One of the best breakfasts I had in Cusco--included in the great rate!! Room was a little dirty, but I was happy to be in a comfortable, safe pension in San Blas. Highly recommend for a base camp in Cusco before or after nearby activities like the inca trail, etc

the hotel is very beautiful with gardens and multiple levels that are covered but open air. The breakfast and the service were excellent. It is a hotel I would return to.

Tolles Hotel mit großartigem Blick úber Cusco

Posted Jan 27, 2015

Enjoyed staying here.

This was a nice hotel in the San Blas district of Cusco. The only issue is that they have very few matrimonial rooms (i.e. double beds) - we had two single beds in our room. We pushed them together, but it definitely wasn't ideal. It's a nice walk from the main square in Cusco that takes about 10 - 15 minutes. Also not too far of a walk from Saqsaywaman ruins. There's a restaurant/cafe attached to the hotel that served a nice breakfast (included) and also had drinks and meals in the afternoon/evenings. They have a laundry service, have an on-site tour guide with various tour packages for Cusco and beyond. They also arranged a cab for us to go to the bus station for our departure. Would definitely stay here again.

A gem nestled on a traditional little Cusco street

Posted Nov 27, 2014
Pros: The food, the staff helpfulness, the beautiful little courtyard, the plentiful breakfast in a lovely top floor room with great views, the great room.
Cons: Nada.
Location: It is walking distance from the main square, and the principal historic attractions of Cusco. (Several blocks, so if you're not a walker, get a cab.)
From the outside, it doesn't appear to be anything special. But once inside, the rooms are charming, there is a lovely little courtyard, the breakfasts were exceptional, and with a lovely view while eating. They stored luggage for us for 3 days with no problem.

We arrive around 10 am and were greet with some tea and a very nice front desk staff. The room was clean, warm and safe. The cafeteria staff was great too. I will recommend it to other people and stay again on my next visit to Cusco

Best so far in Peru

Posted Nov 2, 2014
Pros: The hotel has touches that are nice for Americans. Also ecologically friendly. Beautiful surroundings.
Cons: The hotel can't help this, but access is difficult. It is on a tiny one- way street. It may take a lot of time to get out of the neighborhood.
Location: Within walking distance to the center of Cusco. We took a self- guided walking tour of the the city.
We have been traveling in Peru (four of us) for over a week. This was the nicest hotel we have stayed in during this time. Excellent staff, water in the lobby, rooms with nice touches and plenty of electrical outlets, good breakfast.
