Beautiful, serene, scenic setting. Drives to Pisac and Chinchero are picturesque with stunning views. Would also recommend a trip to Moray and Maras to see the salt mines and Inca agricultural terraces.

Sooo lovely, look no further.Posted Jan 13, 2014
Pros: Everything. Peaceful Oasis.
Cons: When we arrived they had some renovations going on with loud machinery. When we told reception, they stopped it right away and we didn't hear it again
Location: Great location for taking day trips to different parts of the sacred valley. Or its the perfect place to do nothing and just enjoy the hotel luxury.
I took my fiance here for his birthday as a treat, we were also celebrating our new engagement and Rio Sagrado really made our stay very special. Beautiful, peaceful place. Friendly helpful staff. Lovely views. We got an upgrade to the junior suit. Chocolates on arrival Rose petals on the bed Horse Riding Romantic atmosphere Great restaurant Great Spa Llamas just hanging out on the lawn.. Need I say more?

Pros: location, installations and facilities.
Location: Great location to visit Maras, Moray,Ollanta and perfect for Machu Picchu, you board the train in the hotel's doorstep and its a 1 -1/2 hour ride.
Its the feeling of being in the countryside with the calming sound of the river, all in luxury. The best massage I've had!! -the exclusive one from Rio Sagrado.

This was our fancy night on our backpacking honeymoon and it did not disappoint. The staff were so welcoming and friendly. We arrived on the evening Vistadome train and they stopped the train for us to get off at the Hotel. we were greeted with a smile and transported to reception in a golf cart. The room was incredible, complete with humming birds in the garden in the morning. The breakfast in the morning was excellent, with a choice of hot cooked breakfast and a buffet. The one dinner we had at the hotel was awesome, it was tasty and a fair price. We had the spa pool area included in our booking which was a welcome relief for sore legs. The ladies there were attentive and offered us drinks and fresh fruit was we relaxed in the water. This place with worth the extra cash for a few nights of relaxing in luxury. I am glad we booked here and not the Sanctuary Lodge, which is really a giant bus park overrun with tourists. The Rio Sagrado is by far the superior option for your Machu Picchu adventure.

Relax like Royalty, Hotel Rio Sagrado is the placePosted Oct 8, 2012
Pros: The gardens and the service
Cons: Can't tell
Great Staff Great Service - always with a smile and very polite. Great Decor, extremely clean and the in-room vanities were superb. Top marks for comfort - the spa was FUN-TASTIC, don't miss out on the Inca Shower. Great food too! We spent 5 days, 4 nights, the Hotel Rio Sagrado was so great that besides our trip to Machu Picchu, we chose to stay at the hotel the rest of the time. We RELAXED like royalty! Thank you Hotel Rio Sagrado, we will definitely recommend you and will definitely be back!
