A World Apart

Pros: Everything from location to food.
Cons: Nothing.
Location: The hotel was central and you could walk to main square for shopping and eateries.
This is the most beautiful hotel. Our room was huge and the bed was very comfortable. Everything was catered for even a heated floor in the huge bathroom. Quality toiletries provided, free soft drinks, coffee and snack food along with Pisco sour ingredients. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Beautiful luxury hotel

Pros: Everything
Location: Central to everything
I would highly recommend this hotel if you can afford to splurge, the staff are fantastic and so are the facilities. We stayed 3 nights on our way to machu pichu in late January and could not fault anything about this hotel, especially since they up graded us. We also ate at the hotel restaurant one night and the food was delicious and they very thoughtfully surprised us with a birthday dessert for my husband on the house.

Paradise in Cusco

Pros: Royal treatment, pampered, personalized, luxurious, excellent location.
Cons: Only problem is not the hotel-it's getting used to the altitude. But the staff are eager to help, extra bottled water, oxygenated room, coca/mint tea
Palacio Nazarenas was a breath of fresh air (literally, they oxygenate the rooms!) after our trip began with gruelling flight delays and cancellations. The staff were attentive and helpful, the setting is breathtaking and they were excellent at helping with any symptoms of altitude sickness. They are more than happy to go the extra mile (one of our personal butlers ran all over town just to get my watch battery changed, I had only asked where I could get it done, but he was happy to do it for me) and they have excellent recommendations for where to eat and what to see. Pampered fabulous service, and also more than willing to leave you alone if you just want to hang out at the outdoor pool (though they will serve you drinks poolside - water, tea, anything). They were also happy to arrange transport to and from the airport so no stress about finding a taxi. I emailed before we left and everything was taken care of. My only regret is that we weren't there longer!

Nicest hotel in Peru!

Posted Jul 14, 2013 on Hotels.com
We loved this hotel. We stayed at only 5 star properties the entire trip to Peru, and this was a notch above all the others. The Hotel Monasterio, next door and another Orient Express property, was nice, but not as modernized as this one from an amenities standpoint. If you are on the fence with these two, service and food are outstanding at both hotels, but the rooms at Palacio Nazarenas are unquestionably a notch above. Location is perfect- best area in Cuzco, about 15-20 minutes from the airport.

Wow, this is the hotel to visit!

Pros: The serevice and room were fantastic
Cons: Nothing
Location: Fantastic, near a beautiful town square
Wow! This hotel is simply amazing. It's a fantastic experience. The service is very good and it is clear that staff have been well trained. Attention to detail and personal attention and care for the client is second to none. The rooms and hotel surroundings were beautiful. The staff, from the cleaners to the butler and manager, were all friendly and caring, but professional. The added extras, surprise gifts and surroundings were perfect. The restaurant was fabulous. Some might say there is a limited choice as currently there are 2 tasting menus to choose from, a vegetarian and a meat and fish menu. Each has 5 courses. By focusing on delivering only 2 menus, the staff are able to create a truly magnificent experience for the diner. The chef came out to explain every dish to us and all ingredients were sourced locally and inspired by Peruvian cuisine and life (they were all unique and delicious). The buffet breakfast too was lovely. Calling this a buffet, I think, undersold what it really was. While a selection of cold dishes were presented, these were brought to our own table and were presented by staff and accompanied by explanations. An a la carte menu was also available and the originality of the food served made this a truly exquisite experience.
