goood place to stay in CuscoPosted Dec 3, 2012 on Hotels.com
I was there for a week. Good price and it includes breakfast. Hotel staff are friendly and responsive. I had a minor medical issue and they arranged for a medical person to come see me.

Great hotel in a nice location!Posted Nov 19, 2012
Pros: Room size, wifi, location & laundry
Location: Close to the main square.
Great location, within walking distance from the main square. We did the Inca trail and had to store our excess baggage at the hotel, they were quite helpful to address our needs and concerns. Friendly staff. Great wifi.

Home away from home in downtown CuscoPosted Oct 27, 2012
Pros: The positive attitude of the staff
Location: Five Minutes walk to the Plaza de Armes and the Best Organic Restaurant in South America "Greens Organic"
Hotel Girasoles provides excellant service for the budget traveller, we were met at Cusco Airport by Laura who pointed out sights of the city and provided information on money exchange and good shopping areas enroute to the hotel. Our room was light and airy, the private bathroom clean and functional and plenty of hotwater in the shower (Cold water only at the basin). The room was serviced to a very good standard daily. Breakfast was scrambled or fried egg, juice, bread rols and jam, plus Tea or coffe. The Hotel arranged excellant value tours with pick up at the hotel. Wifi was good in common areas but a little erratic in the rooms. Our bags were stored whilst we were on the four day INCA Trail walk and ready for us when we arrived back late at night post walk. Great hotel, friendly and helpful staff and an ideal local in the old part of Cusco: PS they are extending the hotel upwards so it can only get better

Average not great!Posted Oct 4, 2012
Pros: Wifi in open area good
Cons: Cold rooms, hard bent beds
Location: Bottom of dirty alley
We stayed in 2 hostales in Aguas Calientes and Ollantay and they were much nicer than this place. Hard beds, no night staff. Have to knock on door all the time to get into hostal. Dog surprises up and down cooridor from street to hostal. Overall, disappointing.

Not bad for students, backpackers and couples...Posted Oct 1, 2012
Pros: Central location
Cons: Payment options
Had to pay in cash after being told they didn't ake credit cards when it clearly said they did on this site. Besides that, free bfast was good as well as central location to main square. Also the hotel is on a dead end street and is kinda hard for a taxi to find...
Very good value.....quiet area.Posted Aug 19, 2012 on Hotels.com
We enjoyed our stay of 6 nights at Hotel Girasoles. We had a our family of six people and had three different rooms. One of them )201) had some sewer gas smell the last two nights and we should have asked for a different room. The staff was very nice and helpful. I would recommend using them (Mercedes or Marcia) to help book day trips as they have a good handle on the many tour companies. Breakfast was OK but we would have appreciated some fresh fruit.

Thanks Girasoles.Posted Aug 2, 2012
Pros: Freindly staff, airport pickup, hot shower, breakfast.
Location: Very close to Plaza de Armas, excellent location.
Girralsoles was my first experience in Cusco and I am very pleased that I chose to stay there first. The airport pickup was great, avoided the usual airport taxi sharks, and its always a relief to see your name on a board after a very long trip. Room was great, albeit a bit cold being mid-winter, however the bed was comfortable and had plenty of blankets so very comfortable. The staff were very freindly and helpful. Breakfast was great. Would recommend this hotel to anyone, from single backpackers to groups and families. Although the hotel is located down a small backstreet it is only a very short walk to the main plaza, a walk I took at all times of the day and night with no problems.

Great new facilities, friendly staff, near ADO.Posted Feb 12, 2012 on Hotels.com
Very happy staying here: cleaner room, friendlier staff, and nicer amenities than the all inclusive I stayed at in Cancun a week earlier (which was double the price). Highly recommended for short stays in Cancun or for those who simply plan to go out IN Cancun instead of staying in at a resort. Front desk ordered me Pizza (which after months of travelling really hit the spot) - thanks again!
