We stayed at Los Aticos for almost a week before and after trekking. We found the staff to be excellent, extremely helpful and informative, and we very much enjoyed out stay here. The location is two blocks from everyplace one needs to be in Cusco, but it is nice a quiet because it is located on an alley. Priced very reasonably for this level of comfort and service!

Excellent location about 2 blocks away from Plaza de Armas. The initial reception was excellent, bags were quickly taken care of and we were led to the reception area while they did the computer entries on the reservation. We stayed in a one bedroom suite, it was a good size and very clean. No problems with heat, A/C etc. The bed was fantastic, very comfortable, and the black out curtains on the drapes were the best I've ever used, great for sleeping in. We did not hear any noise from adjacent rooms or the hallway, generally speaking it is a very quiet hotel since most people are out doing tours during the day.
The only cons were reception not answering one day, and a little confusion with our drycleaning - nothing major. Personally I would skip the hotel restaurant for breakfast and head to a smaller cafe such as Greens. The breakfast was typical buffet although with excellent pastries, however the price was triple what you would pay a couple blocks away, with equally excellent food.
Checkout was smooth and they arranged for a nice car at a very reasonable price. I would definitely stay at this hotel again if in Cusco.

This 100+ year-old restored/renovated/modernized hotel provides a pristine setting for a wonderful, enjoyable experience. It is quiet quiet quiet!! The lovely garden sitting areas, the inner courtyard, and the ambiance provide unforgetable memories. We wouldn't stay anywhere else if we repeated this journey 10 more times! The rooms are rustically comfortable, but the bathrooms are strikingly modern - from the stone-wall enclosed shower (how refreshing was the shower with strong pressure/flow to provide a massage-like experience. The monestary's chapel provided for even quieter moments. Can you say "peaceful calm?" The downside? The hotel staff need to be re-trained; their attitude is lackadaisical at best and their interaction with guests is best characterized as "detached." Nobody seemed to take ownership for screw-ups. Taxi arrangements - made twice, and in both English and Spanish - fell through the cracks. We three waited for naught, in the rain at the train station, for the pre-arranged taxi that never came. No apology, no excuses, nothing! (other than "I'll pass this one to the responsible (irresponsible?) person. Stay here for the charm and memories, but do NOT relay upon hotel staff....do everything yourself and you'll come away with a great hotel experience.

"Awesome Cusco Hotel...right in the heart!!!!!!!!!!"
This hotel was simply awesome, especially for the price that I got my room for! Almost every morning during breakfast, one of the waiters would give me bag of coca leaves for no extra charge. Oh and the breakfast was free and all you can eat! Great way to charge up your batteries for each new day. Free internet and two computers available to use in the lobby that any guest can access. Very friendly hotel staff and great service...I was really happy with my whole experience. My room was a bit small, but I was the only one traveling, so it did not bother me all that much. All my tours picked me up right at the hotel lobby and I never needed to get a cab, because everywhere I wanted to go in Cusco was in walking distance. There is even a small grocery store right across from the hotel! It was great a hotel!

"Nice hotel, a bit far from town center and noisy"
We loved our stay here. Staff took great care of us. They helped us with calling a dr. For my son, getting laundry done after a week in the Amazons, ordering food and anything else we needed in our 5 days stay. Rooms are comfortable and clean. I have to say that there is a lot of noise. Also far from Plaza De Armas (5 min cab ride for s/.5. ).

This hotel is great for the price you pay. Great location, a few blocks from the main plaza. Complimentary breakfast is great and rooms are great too. Staff was not very helpful and the wifi is the worst. They only allow to use obe device per room and the signal is horrible.. You have to reconnect every 2 minutes.
