Clean Budget HotelPosted Aug 19, 2013 on Hotels.com
The daily breakfast tastes great. The recommendation by Andrea is extremely helpful in terms of booking local tours. She even helped us pre-buy Machu Picchu tickets prior to our arrival. Our rooms are a little smaller than expected, but it's all okay because they are still really comfortable little rooms, and you know you are not breaking your wallet. The rooms are clean: clean pillows, towels, and clean bathroom supplies. Definitely will stay here again.

Location, location, locationPosted Jul 19, 2013
Hotel is in perfect location! Around 3 minutes walk to the main square. Mixed reviews about the staff- some were pleasant, others were at times rude and unhelpful. It is well worth the price- comfortable clean rooms, decent breakfast, bar + restaurant were good Only issue is there is no elevator- with the altitude it can be a bit of a hassle climbing stairs!

Cusco HotelPosted Jul 8, 2013
Pros: The room service and food was quick and really good. The location is very central.
I stayed here for 2 night while exploring Cusco. The hotel was a little modern for me but otherwise everthing was pleasant. The sign out front reads MW which can be a little hard to find from the street. They have a new Mac computer but it is right be the front door so not much privacy.

Small hotel with excellent servicePosted Jul 3, 2012 on Hotels.com
We loved this small & very clean hotel. It was very close to the main square (Plaza de Armas) and the staff was extremely pleasant and helpful with all inquiries or requests. The hotel is also within easy walking distance of many excellent restaurants. The buffet breakfast was varied and delicious and started very early so we were able to get something to eat before departing on an early morning trip. We also loved the rooftop terrace from which there is a lovely view of several parts of Cuzco.

Decent quality for low pricePosted May 28, 2012
We liked this property a lot - we had room on top floor. Bathroom a bit small. Much cheaper than the mainstays nearby which appeared tired. Very close to main square.

Nice hotel near Cusco main squarePosted May 12, 2012
Pros: Edouardo at the front desk was incredibly helpful with any questions or problems.
Cons: Somewhat weak heating.
Location: Excellent for walking to restaurants and historical sites.
The Maytaq Wasin is located in a very central area of Cusco, making walking to a restaurant quite easy. The beds were comfortable, the rooms very clean. The front desk personnel were extremely helpful in obtaining taxis, storing luggage during an excursion, providing directions, etc. The provided breakfast was a typical buffet: fresh fruit, yogurt, cereal, toast, juice, coffee, tea and eggs/omelets made to order. The rooftop patio has amazing views of the city and mountains. Our only complaint was that our room on the first 2 nights had poor heating; however, the front desk provided us with a space heater. We were very happy overall.
