Nice, Clean, Modern Hotel in Cusco

Posted May 19, 2014
Pros: The service, cleanliness, modern and close to local markets where I found the best priced souvenirs in all regions I visited in Peru to purchase.
Cons: The only thing I would have liked to improve, would be a better heating system. I did notice that most places in Peru have small heaters systems.
Location: It's close to airport, a few blocks from local markets and local restaurants at great prices. Far from city center, so just take a 5 Soles cab fare.
Upon arrival, the staff treats guess with upmost care as if a person is in a 5 star hotel. I enjoyed the breathtaking view of the city from the top floor and we were welcomed with a complimentary Pisco Sour (drink of Peru). I liked and did not like it was a bit of distance from city center. Let me clarify. It is good not being close to city center because that makes the place less noisy and dangerous. It is though close to local markets and restaurants that are greatly price, perhaps because is not so close to Plaza de Armas. You can always take a cab ride (about 10 mins) to city center for 5 soles and hotel will take care of calling for you. The rooms were very nice, comfortable, modern and clean so I liked this hotel the best in my stay in Peru. Be aware that it is close to train tracks and I heard trains passing after 8 AM. Perhaps, that is not such a big deal. The bathroom is nice, clean and plenty hot water was available. The included breakfast buffet was plentiful and delicious. I would definitely recommend this hotel to family and friends! :)

Nice hotel

Posted Apr 7, 2014
Pros: Reasonably priced. Good value . Get a room above the 5th floor o avoid street noise.
Very friendly staff. We stayed there on 2 occasions on the way to Machu Picchu and on the way back. It is a 15 minute walk from the main plaza. However taxis are easily available. Close to one of the bus stations to Puno. The hotel staff sent Marco with us when we went to buy bus tickets. He was great. Good buffet breakfast. Staff will also help with restaurant delivery service to the room since their restaurant is not open for dinner. Drink coca tea and take soroje capsules for altitude sickness.

Hotel description did not match the hotel

Posted Mar 16, 2014
Pros: Sorry to say that we really didn't like anything and checked out early and went to another hotel.
Cons: The staff does not speak English very we'll and that was challenging. They really need to improve their beds and bedding.
The description says that the hotel has air conditioning and a restaurant . When I asked the bell hop where the ac control was, he went over and opened a window and said it is all natural. It was 80 degrees outside. Opening a window did not help. It only let bugs fly in. The picture of the hotel on the web site hides the surrounding area and not so nice buildings. No where in the pictures do you see that there is a train track that runs right beside the building. The train started at 1:30am and ran an additional 4 times prior to 7:30 am. The must be a loading doc close by because you could hear noise and shouting throughout the night. The hotel currently does not have a restaurant like it says. The are currently building one on the top floor but it was no where close to being finished. When I asked why the description said they had one, the said that we can order from the pizza place across the street and they would deliver it to the hotel then the staff would bring it to our room just like room service. The hotel itself was pretty inside. There is one small elevator and if you were on the 7th floor, you would need to push the 6th floor button to get to your room. The room had nice hardwood and a great bathroom. The door to the room only had a single key lock and it was not very secure. The so called pillow top beds were extra firm and the bedding was rough.

Nice hotel, just few minutes from city attractions

Posted Feb 25, 2014
Pros: Attentive staff, cleanliness, breakfast.
Cons: Accuracy of hotel information. Expedia showed checkout time of 10:00 PM. Transportation should be provided to and from hotel.
Location: Plenty of restaurants, shops, main street convenient access to taxis, will take you to downtown historic district.
We enjoyed our stay from day one. The staff was very helpful and attentive. All hotel staff made us feel right at home. During our stay in Cusco, my son got food poisoning after eating at a local restaurant downtown. The evening hotel staff went out of their way to help during a very stressful evening. Not only they assist us but, they followed up by calling to make sure my son was getting better. They even recommended a local doctor they call during situations like the one we were experiencing. Thank God, my son got better and we were able to continue with our vacation.

This hotel was very clean and the service was super. The lady named Marybel at reception desk was excellent. She could speak English went out of her way to help us for our trip to Machu Picchu. I was very pleased with her service.

Good restful place to recover from Machu Picchu.

Thanks to the staff, it was marvelous. Our first room was 3rd floor facing the major avenue. Very loud. But we asked the staff if they had a room away from the street and they immediately placed us up on the 7th floor facing the hillside. Lovely nighttime view of the hillside. Quiet. Very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent.

Great Value

Hotel was very comfortable and updated. Service was great, they even offered to make us the break fast at 430a. Hotel is 15 min walk from the main town center, but a cab is only cost 2 soles on way, in case not willing to walk.
