Great location and Very nice hotel, although it's close to several clubs it can be quite noisy at times. The staff is the BEST EVER! They try to accommodate your needs and are extremely friendly.

Great central location.

We enjoyed the hotel and the friendly staff. Breakfast buffet is redundant. We only found out on the last day that we could also request bacon and omelettes. Due to the high altitude, the air in the room is very dry. If you have sinus issues make sure to bring saline spray and have plenty of bottled water.

Tierra Viva Cusco Plaza was a great location to begin our exploration of Peru. The rooms were comfortable, the breakfast was nice and the staff was very helpful.

Character and great location

Posted May 24, 2014
Pros: Location and charm
Cons: Shower water flow
Location: Steps away from Plaza de Armas, sights and restaurants.
Being a converted colonial home the hotel was warm and had an endearing charm. The staff was friendly, prompt and efficient. The furnishing were comfortable and our room was charming, the only fault was the lack of shower water flow and the staircase leading to the room was narrow.

Couldn't wish for a better experience.

Pros: Room position, friendly helpful staff. Buffet breakfast. Constant supply of coca tea. Free mini bar. Comfortable bed, large bathroom.
Cons: The music from the nearby night clubs could be a problem on some of the floors.
Location: Close to Plaza De Armas. The street is narrow and one way so it is sometimes difficult for a taxi to get to.
Hotel was in a good position, just off Plaza De Armas. Our room was excellent in all respects including a great view over the rooftops and almost at street level so not many stairs! There was a pleasant restaurant and substantial buffet breakfast. The hotel staff were always polite, helpful and spoke good English. The hotel stored our luggage during our Inca Trail and had our room ready for us with our luggage back in the room and heater on when we returned. There are some night clubs nearby and you could often hear the music at night but this didn't affect us on Level 4. This was one of the best hotel experiences we have had.

We stayed in this hotel before and after our inca trail hike. Loved both rooms. We always had hot water. Breakfast was a nice selection. The staff went out of their way to be helpful.

Good position, Great hotel, Very helpful staff

Situated just off Plaza De Armas in a good position. WiFi and Breakfast were included and good quality. Staff spoke good English and were very helpful. Stored our luggage while we left Cusco for a few days. We stayed in Room 401 which was at street level which was very helpful for acclimatization to the altitude and had a level view over the rooftops to the surrounding hills. There are 3 levels down from Reception and a nice courtyard. Would definetly stay here again.
