Comfortable, well located hotel.

Only sticky issue was the hotel's recommendation of a tour guide to see four sites immediately outside Cusco. We felt that it was overpriced at $90 considering what we paid today for a personal guide for all of Machu Picchu - $50.

Outstanding Staff, Perfect Location

Posted Jun 22, 2015
We stayed in June during the festival. We were close enough to enjoy all that the plaza has to offer but far enough (1 block) away to not be bothered by the noise. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast was simple but everything we needed. The rooms were big enough for two and the mountain of luggage we brought.

Beatuful hotel near Cuzco Square. Staff couldn't be friendlier or more helpful. Located up a very steep hill though.

Be prepared to pay more

Posted Feb 26, 2015
I reserved a room on the website as the only option was to reserve for 2 adults but the website advertized that rollaways were avaiable. Upon arriving, we eere told our room was too small for a rollaway and we had to pay another $220.00 U S dollars plus 22 dollars tax for the peruvians i was traveling with. I expected the tax but to have to pay 110.00 a night for 2 nights for a single room when my original double reservation was only 90.00 was rediculous. If iI wanted to leave , I would have to forfeit my entire 189.00 payment for the original room reservation. I felt this handling was notjing short of a scam.

Estupenda ubicación menos por los bares

Posted Feb 24, 2015 on Hotels

A last minute change of Tierra Viva hotels

Posted Feb 5, 2015 on Hotels
We were scheduled to stay in this hotel, but there was a fire in the building next door and the hotel was unexpectedly closed down for a week or more. We arrived on the 22nd of January and when we went to the hotel, it was in construction mode and closed down. Our Taxi driver called the number for this hotel and we were directed to the Tierra Viva Saphi hotel. The Tierra Viva Saphi Hotel was delightful. We had a deluxe room on the ground floor off the courtyard. Comfortable, clean and spacious. They had a wonderful breakfast buffet, excellent shower, hair dryer in the room, plus a complementary mini bar with beer. Loved the location. Superior staff.
