Great place to stay in Cusco.Posted Aug 21, 2014
What can I say, this place is great! I arrived at this hotel with no expectation especially after staying in a less than average hotel in Lima. This place blows that place out of the water. The hotel staff is very friend and can speak English. The room is very clean with all the modern amenities you need. This hotel is about 3-4 blocks away from the main town square, takes about 7 minutes to walk to from the hotel. There's plenty of shops and restaurants there to keep you occupied. They also have a complimentary airport pick up for you when you arrive at Cusco airport, which is a nice touch. Overall experience was great and I would recommend this place to anyone who is planning to stay in Cusco.

Great hotel. Nice touch.Posted Aug 17, 2014
Pros: Room, bedroom size, cozy feeling.
Cons: Distance to the plaza is not the best. But easy/cheap cab ride if you don't feel like walking.
Location: THe plaza
The premium double room we booked was great. King size bed. Semi-separate luggage area. Very spacious too. Hotel is clean and comfortable. Staff is helpful. It's not a five star hotel but much nice than many other 3 star ones in the area. We like its cozy not like chain or upscale.

Excellent staff!Posted Aug 3, 2014
My two sons and I stayed at Tierra Viva Saphi for three nights and although the hotel and rooms were very comfortable it was the staff that stood out. The individuals working at this hotel go out of their way to make their guests feel comfortable!

Good place in CuscoPosted Jul 31, 2014
Pros: the rooms and the staff
Cons: have the rooms heated up when guests arrive.
Location: good restaurants and fun shopping are a 1 dollar taxi ride away.
This is a very goo hotel in Cusco. The staff was wonderful. It is a little bit too far to walk to the Plaza simply because we were a little short of breath due to the altitude. But it was comfortable and reasonably priced

Cozy Hotel, Great Location!!!Posted Jul 2, 2014
Pros: It was really cozy and the staff was awesome and friendly.
Cons: We stayed in a room next to the guest complimentary computers. We heard every word outside our room. Not a big deal though, at least for us.
Location: Cafe Morena and Mr. Soup are awesome and located right down the street. Also, there's a flea market. Learn to haggle. Don't settle! Even it's a little
When you pull up to the hotel, it doesn't seem like much. But walk up the steps and into the lobby and you start to realize what a nice place it is. It's so welcoming. They even have coffee and coca tea for guests, which by the way, is available 24/7. Be sure to partake in tea. It's supposed to help with altitude sickness and it's not bad either. The rooms are nice and very clean. After our short stay at Aguas Calientes, returning to our room at Tierra Viva was a blessing. It made me appreciate this hotel so much more. This really was an awesome hotel. I can't speak for any other Cusco hotels since this is the only hotel we stayed at but 10/10 we would stay again!

Quiet and close to the PlazaPosted Jun 14, 2014
Pros: Quiet, clean, very comfortable. The rooms were well lit. Great breakfast.
Location: Close to the Centro Historico
We stayed here for four nights, the first room had a terrible smell, and we were moved. Apparently it was from a painting job. The staff were helpful and organised taxis for us.

Excellent location, quiet, and cleanPosted May 27, 2014
Pros: The staff were great, the location was great, the rooms were clean and comfortable, and the beds were nice and big.
Cons: Changing the breakfast menu would be great. The breakfast provided was the same every day.
We stayed here before and after hiking the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu. The location is very good- close to the city center but far enough away to avoid the noise and traffic. The staff are excellent, courteous, and very accommodating. They helped us with every detail we required: navigating the city, making reservations for transportation and taxis, providing breakfast-to-go at 4:00 am, and much more. The place feels very safe and secure and is a wonderful refuge from the chaos of the city.

Great Spot in Near Main Square in CuscoPosted May 19, 2014 on Hotels.com
A great little hotel about 5 minutes away from the main square in Cusco. The hotel is not big; no more than 20 rooms, which is the typical style for the city. They offer a great little breakfast each morning and have free coca tea available throughout the day. Cusco's altitude could get to you, and the hotel also offers oxygen tanks for those who are having trouble adjusting to the thin air. The wifi connection wasn't very good, but I would recommend the hotel to family/friends.
