Classic hotel in Da Lat

Posted Feb 21, 2015
Pros: Old school charm and peace and quiet.
This classic, old world hotel is a short ride from the Phuong Trang bus station. It is a bit of a far walk from the main areas of Da Lat, but that makes it a little quieter and less congested. the rooms are older, but well maintained.

Nice hotel in a great location

Posted Feb 5, 2015
Pros: Location.
The Du Parc is associated with the elegant Dalat Palace Hotel, which is nearby, and a guest of the Du Parc is welcome to utilize the facilities of the Palace and to charge any fees to his/her Du Parc room. When I arranged for the Du Parc to send a car to pick me up at the airport, I was met by a monogramed limo from the Palace. The guided tour I arranged through the Du Parc was provided by the Palace. So, stay at the Du Parc and enjoy the Palace, including dinner in the Palace's posh dining room -- a lovely culinary experience set to the music of the mid-twentieth century provided by an excellent pianist. The Du Parc has no dining room, so the complimentary breakfast is provided at the Cafe de la Poste across the street. If one manages to avoid all the motorbikes flying by, and to navigate safely across the street, a well laden breakfast buffet awaits. Lunch and dinner at the cafe are also pleasing experience.

Posted Jan 19, 2015 on Hotels.com

Historic boutique hotel in good location

Posted Jan 12, 2015
Pros: Historical building with reasonably modern facilities, good location, helpful/professional English-speaking staff, child/family-friendly
Cons: Massage at the "Sauna/spa" was sub-par for the price; the room was too cold, the massage itself was sub-par for a hotel of this price range.
Location: It is located on a main street, very close to the cathedral and 10-min walk to the Crazy House, downtown Dalat, & French colonial villas, the lake.
We stayed for 5 nights over new year's in a suite at this hotel. Historic (built in 1932) French colonial style building. Breakfast is served at the La Poste Cafe which makes you feel like you traveled to France. Excellent bread and pastries and dinner was also among the best in Dalat whilst remaining reasonable. The hotel itself has few facilities (which explains its 3.5 star rating) but the staff are professional, helpful and most speak English.

Sehr gute Lage.

Posted Dec 1, 2014 on Hotels.com

Un hôtel du parc ... sans parc !

Posted Nov 20, 2014

Nice hotel

Posted Oct 21, 2014
Nice hotel which was out of the way of the busy dentre, but only a 10 minute walk away. The only reason I lowered the score on the hotel was due to no pool, otherwise a great hotel for the money.
