“weekend in Da Nang, Vietnam”

I Travel to HCMC for business very often and had yet another weekend coming up, a friend suggested going to Da Nang for the weekend , which turned out to be a great suggestion. Flew SGN - DAD with Vietnam airlines. This hotel is right on the main beach front, with modern slick design and views directly out to the ocean. Juy is summer, weather was hot. The room was enormous, with king size bed and a bathroom the size of some apartments ! There are a lot of water features, lily ponds and a pool. The beach is clean and shallow to along way from the shore - idyllic ! Da Nang town is nearby and is a nice town, also about 20Km away is Hoi An which is an old town with beautiful old buildings only negative is that there is a lot of construction along the beach of all the big international hotels, its not pretty, but didn't detract much from the experience

“My favourite Vietnam spot”

I have never had better service, including a surprise birthday cake and flowers on my husband's birthday (they must have found out from the passport). A beautiful resort on a beautiful beach, surprisingly unpopulated. If you want to get away from it all, including other tourists, this is your spot. However this resort is still close enough to Hoi An to go there every day (on the free shuttle) if you wish. Danang city is also a lot more laid back and a great place to acclimitise to Vietnam (much easier to learn how to cross the streets here). Would recommend a Danang visit at the beginning of your holiday, and most definately don't stay anywhere else except the Life Resort (as its confusingly known by the taxi drivers).

“Overall a pleasant stay”

We had a grand suite with amazing ocean view. However, someone is building a house across from our room, working non-stop from early morning to late evening. The loud noise was annoying. The breakfast was excellent and was loaded with choices. The dinner was okay. The pizza was very good. One day we had a late lunch at the lobby bar, I ordered the hot rock steamed clam, and the liquid nitrogen icecream. Both dishes were excellent. Unfortunately, the service staff at the bar was also sharing a portion of my orders, which made me feel that they were unprofessional. In general, the service staff was friendly and helpful. One major point worth mentioning. My husband dropped an equivalent of $200 USD in our room. He found them intact on the table. A big thank to the honest cleaning staff.

“There are better options nearby”

My partner and I were pleased with the room we had booked. However, due to the tiled corridors of the hotel any sounds made by other guests so it can be quite noisy especially when the guests in the next room turned on the television. The facilities were good and the spa staff were extremely professional and friendly. The breakfasts were good and there was a wide selection of foods and pastries which was great. The staff were mostly friendly. We encountered a problem with only one staff member who decided to lie to us about whether stores were open during tet and offered to take us to his 'friend's store. I would have thought that hotel employees are not permitted to do this and expected staff to conduct themselves with some integrity instead of trying to earn commissions by sending guests to stores of their friends or relatives.

“very relaxing environment,receptionist skill need.”

We stayed 4 nites, with 3 kids on 01/2012, Good location, I love the Pool and the own beach, breakfast buffet is very good,big variety to choose.generally if You love relaxing enviroment ,this is the Hotel for You,if You want to see the Danang live You need to stay closed to the Central City. Big disappointment with the staff at reception: Firstly,desk girls make you wait long(check in) because they enter all the passport details in the computer,they can just always copy it( like 4 star hotel does) and do it later,what if You check in with large group? Secondly when I asked about the airport shuttle Bus while one girl answering my questions,The other Girl(may be the superviser) Jump in the middle of conversation and said(in Vietnamese) to the first girl: next time if the customers ask You about this service tell them go and ask people at the opposite side(where they handle all the transport),I mean couldn't she wait a bit for the girl to finish talking to me? That time only me at the reception desk and no one else. thirdly, When I rang up the reception desk to ask if I can borrow the plate(for the fruit I bought at supermarket) I would be happier If they answer no to me straight away,instead They told me to ring the Hotel restaurant, I did ring and was told due to the Hotel poicy I could not borrow it,such a wasting time.
