Nice hotel, right on beach

Posted Feb 17, 2014
Pros: Beachfront location, quiet
Cons: Greater range of food available - hotel restaurants are expensive and there are no nearby shops. Included breakfast would be good.
Location: Beautiful beach, great hotel pools. Good free shuttle service to Hoi An and Danang twice daily.
Great pools, and right on a good clean beach. Beachfront bungalows are the rooms to book, they're fantastic.

In need of transformation.

Posted Jan 1, 2014
Pros: The staff and I did enjoy my massage.
Cons: the hotel needs an upgrade in most aspects.
Location: Hoi An is a delight and the hotel shuttle takes you there. The Marble Mountains are also impressive and they are within walking distance.
Firstly I must say the staff were a delight, friendly, smiling and helpful. The hotel needs an uplift and building is currently taking place to introduce many new facilities, entrance way, etc. I arrived in the dark so could not see the building site which I saw the next morning from the 4th floor. The building noise was not something I wished for on a holiday. On complaining, nicely, I was upgraded to a bungalow a long way away from both the noise and reception area. I was happy there surrounded by greenery. In its present form this hotel is overpriced and more 3 star in what it offers. I was not impressed that this hotel would not allow cancellation on e booked as a local friend emailed me, after I had booked, telling me that I may wish to change my hotel choice.

A tired Old Resort

Posted Dec 29, 2013 on Hotels.com
Staff and service was good. The Hotel may offer star class facilities but they all need much overdue maintenance. The hot water in our room was broken and came with a noisy air-conditioning unit and smelt musty. We were upgraded to a Superior room that was bigger with two toilets, showers and a bath. The air conditioning worked much better but the hot water was not adequate to draw a warm bath. We tried the spa. While the rate was discounted and the masseuses was good the towels used were old and heavy with that reek of old massage oil in them. The shower in the spa was terrible with a trickle of warm water. The sauna was working but did not impress with its cold tiled seat and floors. Dinner service was good - the food was terrible. Dinner for two cost way too much for over boiled vegetables swimming in sauce. This was by far one of the more expensive and worst meals on our holiday in Vietnam. With so much of great, fresh food out there I recommend a short trip towards Da-nang or Hoi-An. Do consider however that our stay at this hotel was during the off peak season. There were no events or food stations, the pool side was empty and all was quiet. The sea was quite rough and the beach was deserted. My overall impression is that this venue is poor value and quite mediocre. Despite being upgraded to a better room this place failed to impress.

Very ordinary old hotel

This hotel is seriously in need of an up grade. Rooms smell really mouldy. We had to sign a disclaimer to have our window open! The whole place is very shabby. Ed & Marcelle Crinion

Great value and location

Posted Aug 28, 2013
Pros: Location, romantic setting
Cons: The bus service to Hoi An and the marble mountains could be expanded, I visited Hoi An in the morning and would have been nice to use the service.
Location: Right on the beach, close by to marble mountain and other nice resorts.
The hotel is located in a beautiful garden along the beach, nice facilities.

A secluded relaxiong get away

Posted Jul 4, 2013
Pros: The pool and location - beautiful clean beach
Cons: 3 beds for 4 people anf they were rock hard.
Location: 5 star all the way if you don't want to venture out shopping
Although a little secluded from everything the Bungalow on the beach is superb. Staff could not do enough for you. The room cleaners did a quick job, kids got sand in our bed on the 1st night and stayed there for the 3 nights, didn't seem to shake off easy. Booked for 4 people but got 3 towels, 3 beds, 3 pillow and water. They gace us another pillow but that was the limit. Hotel very clean - pool fantastic.
