The beds were very comfortable, and we liked that our room had a nice view of the outdoors. The breakfast was a typical continental breakfast, but the serving area was very small. It was hard to get food without feeling that you were in the way of others.

Decent place. Easy check in, staff was nice, outside was clean. Inside could use some better overall cleaning. Mirrors were gross but bathtub shower and toilet were clean. Outdated gross couch in suite, extremely loud jacuzzi with very little power but does work. Nothing to cry or complain about for price. Location was convenient to town, gas station , mc Donald’s and hospital next door.

The breakfast left a lot to be desired. Handicapped parking was very minimal, and the location of the handicapped spots made one of the two spots impossible to use unless you have a very small car.

Good, But Could Be Better
I checked in after 10:00 pm, and the gentleman at the front desk was great to work with. However, once I was in my room, it smelled as if a chain smoker occupied it before me, even though a sign in the room clearly said, "This is a NON-SMOKING room." I tried calling the front desk to let them know, but the phone in the room didn't work. I was too tired to report the odor in person, so I dealt with it. The following morning, I tried reporting the odor in person at the front desk, but no one was there, and no one answered the bell despite my ringing it multiple times and waiting several minutes for someone to show up. So, to summarize... I give the night staff high marks. The room was clean, but the lingering smoke odor was awful. I have no idea where the morning staff were, but one would think that someone would be available to answer guest questions.

I wished I would’ve taken pics but I didn’t. There were finger smudge marks on ALL the mirrors, above the jacuzzi, above the sink and above the desk. Window was cracked a good 4 feet and repaired by clear packing tape. The jacuzzi was filthy, between soap scum and only God knows what else. You could tell they just “straightened up” instead of actually cleaning the room. There was hair and dirt from previous occupants on the floor and bathroom counters and this was supposed go be one of their “better” rooms. Dahlonega is such a beautiful place but this hotel needs a MAJOR remodel and upgrades. A hotel room shouldn’t feel gross and disgusting.

I have never stayed in a hotel that stank like this one. I had to prop the door open to the parking lot (windows don't open). It smells like mildew and dirty mop water. Disgusting. Never stay here. It was also old and in poor repair. The door to the bathroom is hard to open/close as the door is too long and drags. Really? Plus an employee tried to charge me $20 extra to check in early even though the rooms were available.

I cannot emphasize enough how incredibly adequate this hotel is. We mainly needed a place to shower and sleep while attending nearby event. The room had the clean towels, hot water, and 2 beds that we needed. They DO NOT have an elevator, and the only double rooms were on the 2nd floor. I have difficulties with stairs, so my teen brought all of the luggage up, and instead of going out for dinner, we ordered delivery to the room -- we made it work! The breakfast, like the room, was adequate. Fresh fruit, juice, an assortment of bread products (with a toaster available) and pastries, coffee, cereals, hot water for packets of oatmeal and tea. The staff, though. Wow! The 2 people at the front desk were so pleasant and helpful. It looked like they only have 4, maybe 5 people doing EVERYTHING, but they seem to have a system that works. Oh, and even though I struggled with the stairs, the view from our window was BREATH-TAKING!

Room was clean but very dated. However, the vinyl floors were sticky, no counter for bathroom sink , no closet at all-only steel shelves in bathroom area. Toilet very high. We did not leave since we were out all day and only slept there but would not recommend or stay there again.

closet was behind main door with shelves in. summer time due to humidity floor get sticky. rest assured we are working to improve.
