en uforglemmelig opplevelsePosted Jul 13, 2014 on Hotels
Meget hyggelige verter, rolig atmosfære og ypperlig service. Må ha bil for å bo på hotellet. Behjelpelige med turer og erfaringer. Alt var lagt tilrette for en uforglemmelig romantisk minitur. Ville ikke vært turen foruten. Kort biltur unna både mossman og port douglas m.m.

Stunning Views and Great HostsPosted Jun 4, 2014
Cons: The Google Maps location was inaccurate. I submitted a request for Google Maps to update the location to the right place.
My wife and I spent three nights at the Mai Tai resort. Andre and Anthony were excellent hosts greeting us warmly each morning and offering excellent advice about places to eat and activities in the Port Douglas area. Highly recommended.

A taste of Bali in the Australian RainforestPosted May 5, 2014
Pros: The décor, the comfort, the peace and quiet, the view, the host, the breakfast, the pool, the location - pretty much everything!
Cons: Can be tricky to find the entrance driveway as the sign is a bit hidden behind the lush rainforest vegetation. We missed the entrance a few times!
Location: The rainforest location is beautiful. A visit to Mossman Gorge is a must. Also a river cruise on the Daintree River to see the crocs!
We had a blissful three night stay at the beautiful Mai Tai resort in the hills above Mossman, North Queensland. There are only a few rooms, with a private outdoor pool and lounging area, all decorated with authentic carvings and furniture in the Balinese style. Our room was stunning and the whole place was a peaceful retreat - just what we needed after a few weeks of travelling the country. We could not do justice here to the view from the breakfast terrace across the rainforest terrain down to the coast. You have to see it to believe it. Andre our host was charming and knowledgeable about the area, and recommended some excellent local restaurants. (One, Mojo's Bar and Grill in Mossman was superb - so good we went twice). I have specific dietary requirements and Andre made sure I had everything I needed for breakfast, catered just for me. We really enjoyed feeling so pampered and looked after. There is plenty to do and see in the local area but we also made sure we had one day just for relaxing in and around the pool. It was so fantastic we didn't really want to leave. Maybe we will be back one day...

Comfortable hotel with friendly staffPosted Dec 15, 2013
Pros: The two guys running the hotel were extremely friendly and helpful. The location is great - very peaceful and private but close to local amenities.
Cons: The place can be hard to find - glad we turned up during the day because we would have struggled at night! Perhaps a light on the sign would be good.
Location: Hotel itself is secluded and feels private. Very close to Mossman and Port Douglas for tours/trips etc. Day trips to Daintree etc very easy by car.
My girlfriend and I stayed at the Mai Tai resort for 5 days and 6 nights and we had a wonderful time. Andre and Anthony run a lovely hotel and were very kind to us and eager to accommodate. Fresh fruit and croissants every morning for breakfast, plus the friendly hotel cats and dogs add character to the stay. The location is great - it feels very peaceful and secluded, but is also very close to Mossman and Port Douglas for dinner and tours.

Just superb!Posted Sep 4, 2013
MAI TAI is definetely one of the best resorts I have been to!!! Highly recommended, especially for couples looking for tranquillity and relax. Kids are luckily not allowed and prices are very reasonable. Not recommended if you don't have a car. The 3 cats and 3 dogs made the experience even more special! thank you MAI TAI!
