Very comfortable bungalow greeted by Ed who sat with us and discussed the local "go to" places which was so helpful! I am normally quite afraid of bugs etc but this bungalow was spotless....and I was reassured by Ed that nothing could get in!
I loved the feeling of being in the middle of no where, I would most definitely return to the daintree bungalows again. Thanks Ed!!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Epiphyte. The view of the mountain and rainforest was gorgeous and we loved the home itself. It gets dark early in the rainforest so it was nice to come back and have a glass of wine on the veranda. Our host was very hospitable and we really enjoyed trying a variety of ripe tropical fruit from their property at breakfast. We enjoyed strolling their property seeing a variety of tropical flora. Great location too- close to the ferry, discovery centre, trails, and Cape Tribulation.

This was my second visit to Daintree Riverview Lodges.. the first was just over two years ago and I think they are still using the same pillows :( and the rooms are quite dated
Beds were comfy, room clean and had sufficient plugs to charge phones and camera batteries etc., Its just a stones throw from the general store and cafe so once you are there you can just leave you car and walk around.
The outdoor kitchen is well set out and handy to use.
The only downside was the pillows.. mine was foam and super soft.. my sisters was lumpy... they made for a very poor nights sleep.

We absolutely loved our stay here - we only stayed one night but could easily have stayed longer. It really is a fantastic and unique place and we would highly recommend this to everyone. It would also be a great place to stay with children as being in the zoo would keep them well occupied day and night and the animals are all very tame and friendly.
We stayed in one of the newer rooms (the Aviary rooms) and they were better than the five star resort we had stayed in the night before for double the price in Cairns. The rooms down by the pool looked a bit more basic but good for those on a budget. Gil and Michael and Mareena were so friendly and really made us feel at home - we even got to see the baby Dingos being hand fed. It had a very personal feel and the dinner and breakfast were great too.
Can't say enough good things about this place - we are so glad we stumbled across it and we will be back!!

Crocodylus was an ideal place to introduce our children to the Daintree rainforest. Hosts Steve and Sally were extremely welcoming and friendly, always greeting us by name. Everything was very easy and relaxed. We self catered breakfast, but opted for the Sunday BBQ dinner the first night and between the five of us, tried 5 different delicious meals from the menu the next night (our 14 y.o. daughter was very happy with the vegetarian options). The family bungalows are basic and comfortable, with mosquito nets over each bed and a private bathroom. . We read and played board games in undercover communal area each evening, a welcome break from electronic games and entertainment. We loved our stay at Crocodylus and would recommend it as a beautiful, family friendly place to stay. The kids loved it!
