Recommended: This hotel is in a great location for any downtown activities you may have. The staff at this hotel was very helpful and did an outstanding job. The valet attendant was very prompt the many times I needed my vehicle and he also requested that he could take me in the hotel shuttle if I did not want to drive, which is something you rarely see from other valets. So over all a Great hotel and its in a great location for downtown activities. See all reviews for this hotel

Not recommended: This hotel is currently under construction so it's a mess. Also the hotel is located in a bad part of Dallas and it's not safe to walk around it at night. We actually witnessed someone getting mugged. Do not stay here. See all reviews for this hotel

Not recommended: Stayed at the Hyatt Regency Dallas for two nights. The hotel is what expected as far as a quality room. My comments for improvement are as follows: 1) Raise the television. It was too low when watching TV in bed. 2) Have the TV listing somewhere. I had to keep clicking through the channels to find programs. 3) I found it outrageous that I had to valet park. Its was a cost I didnt expect, given the price of the room. I think there should be complementary parking for hotel guests. ( Learn from the Hyatt Regency Dearborn, MI) 4) Have A booklet in the room regarding the surrounding area places to eat, where a pharmacy is located, things happening in the city at the time of stay. This was the first hotel I've been to that did not have this or a local phone book. Never being in Dallas before, I would have appreciated the above. See all reviews for this hotel

I cannot wait to visit this hotel again. The ambience was incredible, and the complimentary milk and cookies didn't hurt. I will and have recommended this hotel to friends and family. Not recommended: Upon pulling up to the W, I thought I was in the wrong place, as the doormen were wearing sunglasses (at 10pm), and dancing to deafening music coming from the bar adjacent to the lobby desk. When I attempted to check in, the hotel had run out of rooms with two queen beds (even though I called ahead earlier that day to ensure my reservations were all set), and my friend and I ended up having to share a bed! The manager explained (yelling over the music) that my reservations weren't even guaranteed, even though I had pre-paid, and called ahead. Boo! I expect much better service from an expensive hotel, and will not be going back to "Club" W Hotel. If you are travelling with kids, don't even think about staying here! It is not worth the money, no matter how you look at it. See all reviews for this hotel
Hotel Indigo Dallas Downtown

Occupying a landmark historic building, this Holiday Inn is within a mile of the Dallas Convention Center and the …

Recommended: When travelling to conferences I like to find a hotel nearby that is offsite because it is quieter that way. The Hotel Indigo looked ideal on paper and proved to be a pleasant surprise in reality. I prefer a building with some character and not all hard surfaces and metal. Although the building is 14 stories tall, it has the feel of a boutique hotel rather than a large chain. The room was nice and the bedding was very comfortable and conducive to good sleeps. I was on the 11th floor and wasn't bothered by any traffic noise or low flying planes on approach to Love Field. The staff addressed me by name and were helpful at every turn. Good value for the money. Bottled water was only $1.00 from the vending machines and the wireless internet was included in the room rate. Plenty of stores nearby if you need extras. Even a food court for fast dining during the day. I wouldn't hesitate to go back again. See all reviews for this hotel

Recommended: Westin City Center is ideally located for the State Fair and the Cotton Bowl. The Red River Rivalry weekend is a high energy weekend that brings close to 100,000 people to downtown Dallas many of which are students. It is a very trying time for any hotel. Our experience with the Westin was perfect. Checkin was a breeze from the moment we arrived. From the entrance drive to the room we were serviced by calm and pleasant employees. Everything was well organized and relaxed. The room was very comfortable and an oasis from the crowd. Room service was very quick and the food hot and fresh on arrival. Breakfast buffet was again well managed and comfortable even with the unusual crowd. The Dart terminal and a shuttle service is right outside the hotel (although the train service was a disaster but not the hotel's fault). Overall a very nice hotel with a well managed staff that dealt with the special weekend great. See all reviews for this hotel
