“Very satisfied. Found my go-to in Dallas”
Loved this hotel, won't go anywhere else in Dallas now. Clean, great staff, free coffee in the AM, snacks 24 hours, cute rooms, comfy bed, loved it all.
“Great rooms”
Room is very spacious and clean. Bed is very comfortable. Bar is affordable and staff very helpful. I really, really like this hotel. The only fault I can find is that there isn't a restaurant in the hotel. There is a small kitchen and staff that cooks breakfast in the morning and bar food the rest of the day. There is plenty to eat near the hotel so this is sufficient unless you like to eat at the hotel alot.
“Aloft Dallas as a destination?!?! Yes.”
Wow! An old 9-story train station transformed into an epic hotel in downtown Dallas, just blocks away from terrific dining, nightlife, and all the JFK assassination historical sites like the Texas Schoolbook Depositary and the Grassy Knoll. Gotta say, I LOVE the Aloft Dallas. I definitely want to host a cutting edge conference there someday. Nice work, Aloft.
“Great weekend, great ambience”
My husband and I both absolutely loved this place. It is a converted warehouse, and the renovated look does justice to the history of the building. High ceilings with exposed concrete, reebars, huge wall-sized windows in warehouse style, great modern furniture, just a feast for the eye. The suite had tons of room, and the little techno details made it even more fun. Since the rooms are soundproof, we hooked up our ipods to the TVs and didn't have to worry about adjacent rooms. Shower had a cool design too - glass wall that goes out onto the bedroom. None of the usual hotel art that makes you cringe. Great gym, totally empty. Wish we didn't have to pay for ice though!
“Dallas Aloft is perfect for convention goers”
We stayed 3 nights in a very hip hotel. The furnishings and decor are fit well with the modernist design, even the soap and shampoo are cool -Bliss Girl. The convention center is just one block away with a beautiful park with cattle sculptures right outside. The staff helped us find awesome BBQ restaurants and very cool beer bars like the Monk and Flying Saucer. The Aloft was just right for us!
“Dollar-for-dollar best bet”
I travel alot and this is one of the most interesting hotels I've ever been in. Kind of a re-furbished warehouse with a high-tech feel. Rooms are comfortable, great bathrooms, not much closet space. Friendly and helpful staff.
“I think I will go back there again.”
I had a short time staying there and didn't really have a chance to enjoy much of anything. Overall is good. I like the decoration. The bed is very comfortable. I had a good sleep. It will be a place that l want to go back to stay again.
“Unusual hotel”
The hotel is very different, in that it looks like it was a warehouse and turned into loft type rooms. It was spacious - the front room was an office/living room that was nice to have. The only complaint on it, was that it could use a better source of lighting - the lighting could be installed around the top of the walls, or run in conduit across the ceiling. The beds were nice, along with the benches. The coffeepot didn't work very well, which meant that you purchased coffee down in their kiosk for a fairly good sum. The bathroom was very open, with a pocket door for privacy when using the toilet or shower. The shower was fairly problematice - sometimes it was OK (warm) other times it was ice-cold. The main drawback to the room, was that the thermostat is on a motion detector - which meant that while asleep or away from the room there was no air circulating. It took quite a while after going into the room for it to cool off - then when we woke up, it was to a very warm room - we all woke up with headaches. I wrote to the hotel chain the day I came home, with no response from them, so I probably won't stay at another A-loft, altough I really liked the layout of the room. If I did decide to stay again, I would take a fan and some baloons to keep the heat/air moving.
“Good Rooms Low Price”
Shuttle took 20 minutes to arrive at airport for pickup.
“Walking distance to rail and West End”
Plenty of parking, nice bar and lounge area. Rooms were funky and unique with exposed brick, support columns and plumbing. Room arrangement was loft like, with a large room divider separating the living space from the bath. Windows were high, but let in plenty of light. It was nice to be able to leave them open and not worry about being seeing walking about the room unclothed. Overall we enjoyed our stay, even if all we were there to do was get ready for a night out, and return to pass out the next morning.
