It was nice enough for the price.

Pros: Price.
Location: Lots of shopping and restaurants nearby.
The hotel was simple and modern. It was very close to shopping and restaurants. Good for trips when you are traveling alone or with a spouse. I wouldn't suggest staying here if you're sharing a room with anyone else that you're not super close too - no privacy.

Nice with an on site bar.

Worn carpet In the room. I notice "little" things like this. I never, ever like being next to an adjoining room, with that creepy shared door. I asked for a room upstairs, but was told they were all booked, but noticed rooms that were not adjoining & vacant, down the hall. Very nice outdoor scenery, fireplaces, etc.

Business travel, without business hotel room!

Posted Feb 2, 2015
Pros: Well thought design without excess. Good rooms, excellent showers and bathroom. Good amenities. Modern but practical.
Cons: HBO please. Though they let you connect iPads and laptops to the TV and lend you cables. So HBOGO worked for me.
Location: Its on 114. Close to I-35, 183 and 635, the toll road and everything nice in Las Colinas without having to drive with stoplights and what not.
In my career I travel about 50% of the time. I have grown wary of many conventional hotel chains and the lack of true reinvention of hotel rooms per se. I think that Aloft has it right. As a business travel I have NO use for that small uncomfortable shower tub combination that plague this country. you can't bathe correctly and you have no space while showering, not to mention all the issues with the shower curtains. That is all gone in Aloft, you have a true monsoon type shower enclosed in glass. You have a nicely modern appointed room, with everything you need today and you don't feel as if you are punished in a hotel cell. As to this Aloft, its close to both airports, it has a few restaurants at walking distance, I mean, a 20 second walk within the same parking lot. It has free parking, it has a nice WXYZ bar. It has a swimming pool and a well equipped gym. This is like a younger brother version of a W hotel at half or less. I really enjoyed my stay here. I should have stayed here before. Oh and, it has free wifi in the room and you can print everything you want downstairs so. Its not that its not for business, it is, you just don't feel in the office when in your room!

Convenience

I love the 'W' style rooms at Aloft. This one is in a great location, with popular dining spots located in the same complex, only a short walk away.

Horrible!

Posted Jan 25, 2015
When checking in the card key system crashed leaving me standing on the lobby waiting while the clerk spoke on the phone to someone resetting the system, then began cussing after hanging up with that person. Standing water in shower. Floor tiles in shower loose/moving, luckily I didn't the tiles didn't break and slice my foot open. Light switch for lights over headboard not working. Had to turn tv on and off multiple times to get a picture. Awful hotel and awful experience!

Great for the price

ALoft Las Colinas is a great hotel for the price, and is in a great location. I would recommend it to a friend with only a couple of caveats, the main one being the friendliness of the hotel staff. They are friendly to a point, but not necessarily as warm and inviting as I feel hotel staff should be. The rooms are clean and everything smells wonderful.

We were steps away from great restaurants and the best place of all...King Spa! The lobby was perfect for us too. We played pool, drank coffee and read books.
