Free shuttle to American Airlines center. Great skyline view of Dallas. Cute little tucked away place. I will definitely stay here again

Charming, boutique and retro, in Oak Cliff area.

Only wished to have a small fridge. The hotel is delightfully retro and is a popular spot for cocktails. Unfortunately, the once spectacular view is now obstructed.

Awesome hotel with downtown views

Posted Feb 18, 2015
I love the layout of this hotel! The rooms are clean and cozy with spacious patios. Upon arriving to our room, we had a personalized note welcoming us to the hotel. Definitely something the bigger chains do not do! The staff and maid service were very kind and you have an excellent restaurant, Smoke, right next door! This hotel is a must if you want the full view of the beautiful skyline of downtown Dallas!! Highly recommended!

A unique hotel located in a eclectic part of Dallas. Too bad the weather didn't make it conducive to exploring the area around it. Looking forward to a future stay.

Retro Hotel with a great view and restaurant.

Although our room was small, it was comfortable. The rooms near the office are noisey. It helps to know which rooms have patios or great views of the Dallas skyline. We would stay here again. We also had a great dinner next door at the Smoke restaurant.

Nice Hotel

The staff was very friendly and the rooms were well maintained. The only down side was the parking. You have two options, pay $15 for valet or you can self park your car at the restaurant across the street.

Hidden gem that's great for business or pleasure

Posted Jan 14, 2015
I've been traveling to Dallas on business for several years, and due to convenience I've typically stayed in a major chain in another part of town. This week, I opted to check out a new area of Dallas and ended up staying at the Belmont. After doing this, it's going to be difficult to return to the chain hotel experience. The Belmont is an updated mid-century style hotel that may not feature state-of-the-art amenities, but it more than makes up for it with character and style. The rooms are quite large, beds are new and comfortable, and my room had a great balcony with a view over downtown Dallas - I didn't even know views like that of this flat city are even possible. The cozy Bar Belmont was perfect for a pre-dinner drink or post-dinner nightcap, and speaking of dinner, Smoke is a great BBQ restaurant not to be missed, whether or not you're staying at the hotel. Free wifi is available throughout the property. The bathrooms are probably the biggest downside - they are somewhat updated but still lean 1950s rather than 2010s. Overall the experience was great, and I look forward to returning on my next trip to town!

Awkward layout & unrefined amenities

Posted Dec 23, 2014 on Hotels.com
The hotel's parking lot was a mud hole. The TV in the suite was about 30'away from the bed and around the corner from the furniture. I realize it is a revamped classic motel, but the cost was way too high for the level of comfort provided.

What a gem!

It was great! We stayed only 1 night. Didn't realize we'd get our own little patio area, which is duly noted for our next visit. The rooms, yes, are old, but decently maintained and the bed is quite comfortable. SMOKE next door was a wonderful convenience and really delicious - great drinks and generous margaritas!
