Was put in a handicap room where the shower was too low. Bathroom wasn't very clean. AC did not work well

Crown Plaza, but not.....

Posted Apr 29, 2015
I've stayed at many Crown Plaza properties and this one is not good. Old, tired, in need to a good scrubbing, air conditioner didn't work, noisy. I should have spent the extra 10-20 bucks and gone elsewhere.

Great location

Posted Apr 27, 2015
Pros: Location
Cons: Air conditioner in the room.
Location: Dallas World Aquarium, Medievel Times, Pioneer Plaza
We stayed here to go to the Dallas World Aquarium & Zoo and Medievel Times. What a great location to get to and from both. The staff was very attentive when we had a maintenance request and breakfast was great too. The only bad thing in my book was that I couldn't get the room very cold at night. I need a really cold room to sleep in.

We only stayed one night but this hotel was very nice. The staff were nice and check in (and out) was quick. The room was very clean and plenty of space. Location was easy to get to and fairly close to the airport.

Is it cold or hot

Posted Mar 30, 2015
The experience was horrible. Te thermostat cannot be set. You get either artic cold or desert hot. I was told because the building was too old there is nothing they can do. The only other option is just have fan with no cold or heat which in a summer like weather in March it's not an option. Overall the staff was accommodating. However the evening manager is worthless. It's best not to talk to him.

Good value

Good value. The staff kept a large college event under control and isolated on another floor so our night was quiet! Well done! Room temperature control was difficult. Breakfast was good.

Good value. Easy shuttle to Love field. Only stayed one night to miss the March 2015 ice storm.

Serviceable and reasonably pleasant

Posted Feb 26, 2015
This hotel - on the edge of downtown - is older but well-maintained. The staff was helpful and friendly, the room was clean and comfortable, parking was easy and it's a straight run to DFW airport. It has a very small indoor pool and tiny workout room and - when most of the guests tried to eat in as a result of bad weather - its small restaurant was overwhelmed. On the other hand, its rates are good value and - while away from the center of things - it's easy to get from there to almost any place in Dallas.
