Good Stay at Hotel

Posted Apr 8, 2014
Pros: Location to I-35 and close enough to downtown that makes it easy to get to and from.
Location: Downtown is about 10 minutes or so away.
I have stayed at the Crowne Plaza several times when I come to Dallas. Each time I have found the staff to be accommodating and friendly. The hotel is a little difficult to get to depending on which way you are traveling - but that is certainly not something that is the hotel's fault, just something travelers should be aware of. I have always felt safe in the parking lot. The rooms are spacious and large. I love the sinks in the bathroom. Overall a good hotel and one that I have and will continue to come to when I am in the DFW area.

Great food horrible beds

Posted Mar 30, 2014
The food at the hotel restaurant was amazing and the staff were great. I will never return though because these were the hardest beds I've ever slept in. I prepaid so I couldn't get a refund but we still left a night early because my back was killing me. The hotel was very dated as well.

Good hotel for business not for families

Posted Mar 19, 2014
Pros: Location. Full breakfast made to order included in room
Location: American Airlines Arena. Downtown. Dallas World Aquarium, Medival Times. Dallas zoo
The hotel is located just outside of downtown and it's easy to get to points of interest. I took my family (3 kids) and it's not an ideal experience for kids. Indoor Pool is ok but shallowest area is 4 ft. Breakfast was good. Room was ok, not exceptional. A little dated.

NO HEAT!!!

Posted Mar 11, 2014
Pros: nice views if ur high enough up facing the south is beautiful view of downtown
Cons: some things in room seemed very outdated such as bedding and bathroom fixtures
They was no heat in our room. It would NOT work. We called front desk and they didnt offer any help or to even move us rooms which was kind of unsettling...

Nice hotel near downtown and market center

Posted Mar 11, 2014
The hotel was very clean. The staff was excellent and courteous. I was disappointed with the imformation given about the amenities of the facility. I was looking forward to a hot tub, that has been removed. Bath tubs were to small for a good hot bath to relax.

Pros: They had a shuttle to the Dallas Gift Market. My room was very spacious. The front desk staff was very professional and helpful.
Cons: Their breakfast and dinner was way understaffed for the number of guests in the hotel. The staff that was there did an excellent job.
Location: It is NOT that close to the Dallas Market. There are not many places to eat in the immediate area.

Excellent value and lovely room

Posted Jan 28, 2014
Pros: My room was lovely. It offered a great shower, individual shampoo, conditioner, and body lotion, hair dryer, in-room coffee, iron and ironing board.
Cons: While the color scheme of earth tones is not my favorite, the only improvement I could suggest is perhaps a way to offer more parking.
Location: Easy access to freeways, close to downtown Dallas's Arts District and world - class shopping. Impossible to be bored in Dallas.
I found the hotel to be conveniently located, I checked in quickly and enjoyed a room that seemed to have been recently updated.

Mostly disappointed, very comfortable beds though.

Posted Jan 14, 2014
Pros: Lobby smells good Plug lamps for chargers, indoor pool, lots of good pillows, comfortable beds, good cable and tv, great view of city 15th floor.
Cons: room cosmetics and heater functions
On arrival my husband stood for over 15 minutes at the counter before being acknowledged. One person at the counter took phone calls over helping the person standing there. They do not valet or bellmen, wasn't offered a cart. heater didnt work right all 3 settings only blew out at 1 speed. I set it to 90 took 2 days to warm, never got to 75. An electrical outlet cover was off, hanging on the lamp cord 1 lamp nonworking. No fridge. Window doesn't open the bath water spout was turned totally sideways, caulking around tile and tub peeling up and off in spots no anti-slip mat, drain stopper to use bathtub didn't work sink didn't have a stopper. badly mismatched paint patches, Rusty plumbing access doors with chipped paint, toilet barely had flow to get paper down no heat lamp or fan in bathroom. beds didn't fit the headboards major size difference. reserved a king bedroom early in the week, ended up with 2 "queen" beds. Their version of queen bed is actually a full size bed. My hubby is a big guy, we ended up sleeping separate on our anniversary weekend. they said out of king beds. closet doors couldnt shut because of where ironboard was mounted noise from highway and hallways very loud inside room. elevator floors gapping between boards. Beds were comfortable in spite of size, plenty of good pillows. good view of city from 15th floor, decent towels. Clamchowder and breakfast was good. The man helping us in restaurant was very nice helpful and pleasant.
