We were treated like royalty! The room was clean, breakfast buffet was delicious. The staff was so friendly, helpful and went above and beyond. Location is great for downtown business or shopping. Can't wait to go back!

Terrible durin events/not guarenteed requested roo

Posted Oct 13, 2014
Staff knocked on everyone's door telling them that it was their first and final noise warning or they would get kicked out. There was no noise being made so it was disrespectful. Also, we did not get the two doubles we requested on Expedia, they said it was not guarenteed because the room was booked through a third party. So the four people staying had to awkwardly sleep three in a king and one in an uncomfortable twin pull away.

Not what I was hoping

Posted Jul 31, 2014 on Hotels.com
I booked this hotel because we had stayed there before and it had an ice skating rink. The galleria is usually crowded and my son was wanting to go again . I looked it up and google and other sites still show it as a hotel with an ice rink. So we get there and they said it closed 2 years ago. So I am now at a hotel with no ice skating rink, no swimming pool and other then an unreliable hot spot, no free wifi .. They want 13$ a night for that. I guess if you are there for business, it's great. But for family now that the rink was gone, it wasn't worth the price .

Thank you for staying with us. The Plaza of the Americas removed the ice skating rink in November 2012 and built an indoor park complete with upgraded seating, water features, and live plants and trees. Our Marriott website no longer lists these items and we have reached out to secondary websites to change their information. I’m sorry you were disappointed in your stay; please contact me directly if you are in the Dallas area again. We can assist in making recommendations about the wonderful features of downtown Dallas. Best Regards, Meredith

Great Time

Posted Jul 29, 2014
My husband and I attended a three-day workshop at this location. Our initial reason for opting to stay was ease as one of the classes ran rather late. However, once in our room we were totally hooked. Everything from the comfort of the beds to the food are topnotch. We are planning another stay very soon. It was fantastic!!

Arts District Delight

What a great stay. Convenient Arts District location near the museums, close to Uptown eateries and the historic part of downtown Dallas. Helpful staff who made a good trip great! Quiet rooms with those wonderful deep sleep beds. Highly recommend a stay here if you are visiting the museums or have business downtown.

Great Hotel

Posted Jul 15, 2014 on Hotels.com
I went for a 3 day seminar, hotel, amenities, and service were great. The only thing was I valet my truck and it was broken in to. That was disappointing. The hotel is in a very nice area and I guess crime can happen anywhere.

It was o.k., they could do better by providing a continental breakfast, for as much as they charge for over night stay.especially on the weekend.
