A Marriott near the museums

Posted Mar 21, 2015
The hotel is very close to the Dallas Art Museum and the Nasher Sculpture Center and other Arts District attractions. A lot of people don't realize how cool downtown Dallas has become. This hotel has lovely rooms and is attached to an atrium with shops that are open during the week. It has a very good restaurant.

Close to everything..

Pros: Helpful and friendly staff. Incredible Valet services.
Cons: Update the rooms to reflect what one would expect from a four star hotel.
Our recent stay in Downtown Dalls was remarkable with respect to the friendly and helpful staff of the Dallas Marriott City Center. Overall the hotel was adequate and location was excellent. A bit dated and less than what I expected, our room reminded me of what I could get at a much cheaper budget motel. Don't expect luxury accomodations but they will deliver luxury service.

Close to everything

The hotel was nice and close to everything, but I ordered room service and it was 45 minutes late. It was also cold when I got it and wasn't good. Also, they were very disorganized and when I went to check out they charged me for 2 valet parking instead of 1. I also wasn't made aware that I had a choice of valet or self park they just assumed I was doing valet parkin. I won't stay here again.

Great hotel. Close to the music hall @ fair park.

Posted Feb 16, 2015
I was attending a concert @ the music hall at fair park. I chose this hotel because all the other hotels in the area were booked for valentine's day, but it was a great choice. Very clean & friendly staff. But they only have valet parking ($27/ night with come & go privileges) or a parking garage which is not associated with the hotel that is $18 every time u park. What a rip off. But overall I really enjoyed my stay.

Nice hotel in downtown

Nice hotel. Staff were friendly and efficient. More suited to the business traveller than vacationer as downtown area is not really a tourist area

Great Downtown Dallas location.

Loved the location of the hotel. You can walk to the museums, aquarium etc. The best part is that it is across the street from the Pearl Street DART transportation stop. A $5.00 day pass will take you pretty much anywhere, so you don't have to rent a car. You can take DART to and from DFW which will save an expensive cab ride. We loved the fact that there was a Starbucks in the hotel - great for a quick breakfast or coffee break. The only disappointment was the breakfast. We didn't try the buffet, but ordered off the menu. The cinnamon brioche french toast was awful and had to be sent back. I expected more from a 4 star hotel.

Chose this hotel for its close location to Dallas theater! Efficient/friendly staff during stay. Accidentally left coat behind. Called to have it mailed to me on 12/9. Had not received it 10 days later so called to check. Lost and found rep seemed very confused and coat had not been sent. So now I get to pay for overnight express so I can get my coat AND not even an apology for not mailing it. NOT happy.
