Cons: Front desk staff could be a little more friendly. Free breakfast. Also I didn't like that I didn't get credit for my stay.
Location: Stayed her to attend a concert at the House of Blues.
The hotel was nice at first view but when we went to our room on the 11th floor, there was only one elevator that was working, there was a strong smell of paint on our floor and in the makeshift dining room. I have always had a free breakfast at a Double Tree in Atlanta but not at this one.

Great location for great pricePosted Jun 23, 2015
Cons: Reserved parking for hotel guests staying the night
Location: It's not far from downtown. Lots of food choices around. The Zoo was 7 min away :)
Pros: Easy to find, I was able to check-in an hour early with no additional fee, was given complimentary wi-fi AND a warm chocolate chunk cookie upon check-in :) Pillowtop bed, great view to the pool with ceiling high windows, close to many food spots, decent pool area. I would recommend this hotel. Cons: I wish there had been Reserved Parking for hotel guests actually staying the night. There was a ballroom event Sat. night so parking far from entrance as a female walking alone had me on edge. I saw a bunch of the party-goers taking up most of the parking in the front so i had to park by the back side of the hotel.

Location: If you stay here, make sure you go to Rodeo Goat across the street. Great food and laid back atmosphere with a large outdoor area.
We had a great stay at the Doubletree. Friendly staff, nice pool area, convenient to everything.

Staff went out of their way to ensure comfortPosted Jun 2, 2015
I checked in rather late and no one even blinked twice at it (I've had other places be annoyed with me for being late even if I've told them I will be). Those at the front desk were exceptionally friendly and immediately told me that they had taken care of a special request I had submitted when I booked the room, though it was a strange request. Beyond that they had done this for me, it meant that they'd already set aside a specific room and had it ready for ME, not just anyone who waltzed in. With this I knew there would be no wait to find a room for me or change rooms because of cleanliness, problems I had experienced in the past. At all times, the staff was cheerful and helpful, getting us extra pillows, blankets, towels, etc. and helping us with the shuttle they had provided to get us places on time. I have often, in other places, seen staff members seem annoyed when I come to a hotel with a group of 20-somethings, but here, everyone always seemed happy to see us. It was very comforting (which is important to me as an introvert with a bit of social anxiety). I have said much about the staff, but I believe that is important because they seemed to me to go above and beyond to make sure I was happy there. I suppose I should say that of course the room was clean and cared for, the hotel quiet, and the free shuttle quite helpful, but I do focus on the staff because I am so thankful to them (it was a rather stressful weekend).
