Nice hotel close to Grapevine Mills Mall

Posted Jun 28, 2015
Hotel staff was wonderful!!! Room was great!!! Needs someone on hand to use the net on the swimming pool. Evening snack/ 2hrs was great. We stayed on the 11th floor. Unlimited snacks and drinks for free from a coded vending machine. Told up front from the staff, that machines have issues. The staff told us to call hem if any problems. We did call them and they immediately would fix the machines. Did happen all weekend though-Not the staffs fault though. They were very helpful.

Great location but needs improvements

Posted Jun 23, 2015
It's the best price for the location and for the room size you get. The staff was adequate nothing special but I don't need attentive staff just someone who tells me where my room is. The issue we had was the AC in room never seemed to get consistent with keeping room a nice temp. Really cold or warm and the bed was very, very firm for my preference so sleeping was hard and I woke with a back ache. The hotel was busy and I think it caused havoc on their hot water because the showers were not hot enough for my wife. She likes them scolding. I've stayed here in the past and didn't have these issues. I'd stay again but might switch rooms if AC was the same.

Stay somewhere else

Posted Jun 21, 2015
We were given the wrong room and when we called the front desk we were told that "because we booked through Expedia, our selected room was not guaranteed." Upon speaking with an Expedia representative, we found out that wasn't true and the hotel had overbooked. Hotel staff never offered an apology and on top of that, never cleaned the room throughout our stay. When we called about housekeeping, we were told "we are fully booked and they'll get to you when they can." This turned out to be never, and we had to call to get more towels just so we could shower. The staff is aware of their good location, so service doesn't matter to them. Go stay somewhere that will make your vacation feel like one instead of a place that makes you feel like you're an inconvenience to them.

Horel staff is friendly and accommodating. Facilities are nice and clean and the breakfast makes Ebassy Suites a standout among competitors.

Close to DFW, Good and Bad

Posted Jun 14, 2015
Pros: The staff was great.
Cons: The food was absolutely horrible.
Location: DFW was a free shuttle ride to the hotel. The Grapevine Mall was either a shuttle ride or a short walk. Bass Pro Shop, Lego Land were also close by.
If you have a meeting to schedule and you have people coming from around the country via the air, then having Embassy Suites Outdoor World host is a good decision. If your meeting is going to include food, you should go off site as their food is horrible. We had lunch and it has to be the worst food ever served at a seminar. The roast beef was so overcooked, it was difficult to cut and so dry it was inedible. The chicken was also overcooked and without taste. The "mahi-mahi" was also overcooked. If it was real mahi, then this is a travesty. We ate better food at the Grapevine Mall food court. The room was clean, but very dated. The beds are so uncomfortable, we each got terrible sleep which makes a work trip that much less appealing. The staff is very pleasant and handles requests quickly and properly. The business center (two computers and printers) was dated and one of the computers was out of order so it was very backed up when it came to trying to print our boarding passes. Best Buy was around the corner, so I don't know why the computer was out of order for two days. Geek Squad or buy a new computer, problem solved. This was not the first time we have attended a meeting at this hotel. We won't stay there next meeting.
