“Great when found”
Difficult to locate in the dark. No sign visible. No address numbers visible from the street but over the office entrance. Traffic was very busy at the time of night that I was trying to find the hotel.
“I gave this place a chance”
A few friends and I decided to book a trip to Dallas for the weekend to have fun and relax. Unfortunately, we were driving and it took us 11 hours to get there. I had already reserved a room for us and even called ahead to let them know a day in advance that we were going to be checking in late. The man on the phone was polite and said that it was okay and someone will be there at all times. But from that phone call was already warning signs, I had to call twice because they didn't pick up and on the phone it said something about 'free wireless internet', when in actuality there was a charge. So we arrived in Dallas around 1am and went to the hotel to check in. We had to use the phone that was outside to let them know we had a reservation and needed to check in. The woman sounded a little bugged that we were checking in so late, which was understandable but she carried that attitude the whole time when we checked in and asked rudely for all ID of the guests. She gave us mean looks to and four key cards to use. (Only two of them worked) The grounds could have been kept up a little more. I was also under the impression that there was only one floor to the in but really there was two. It looked like a dressed up motel that wanted to look like an apartment complex. Also housekeeping was only offered if you were staying 7+ days or you had to pay extra if you wanted it. The shower was clogged up with who knows what. And no pots or pans. I should have found a better hotel.
“Mouldy A/C”
The room was nice enough, supplied with towels, pots, pans and dishes. The room was mouldy. The air conditioning unit needs to be cleaned. That's not so easy on someone with allergies.
“okay”
The hotel was okay, it was just that the location I was not very fond of. People were always walking around at night and that freaked us out a little bit. Also the air conditioner was not properly working it was random when it did work. Other than that everything else was okay, I mean the service was nice over the phone, and we didn't really talk to them in person. checkout was at eleven and they came to remind us at 10:30 but that was okay we were already on our way out, I don't know if that was a courtesy thing or they just needed to clean the room. If I went back I probably wouldn't stay there but it is really not such a bad place. It was just not for me.
“Difficult experience”
We had reserved a room with two queen beds, since my husband and I were traveling with our two young grandchildren. I called in the afternoon to say we would be arriving around 9. When we got to our room, we found a room with 1 queen bed, and one couch. It's now time to put these children to bed (ages 3 and 5), and I have no bed for them. I called the office ---- they said that there were no rooms available with two queen beds, that they gave us the room with the pull-out couch to compensate..... however, there were no sheets, pillows, or blankets for the pull-out. My husband then had to go to the office where they gave him the bedding, and we put the bed together. Naturally, this was a difficult time with two children who needed to sleep. In addition, after checking in and getting our key, we had to wander around in the dark trying to find our room. There were simply no signs to indicate where rooms were, other than the number on the door --- which was not easily visible from a car. The clerk did not give us directions or a map. Breakfast was lacking, to say the least. The children picked up granola bars and muffins, but there was no milk or juice. Only coffee and tea. Our next stop was McDonald's.
“Do not waste your money even if it is cheaper!!!”
This place was not clean at all. Bathroom smelled, cobwebs in kitchen, counters were sticky, hairs on the bathroom floor. Bathtub was dirty, stained. An electrical outlet was hanging off the wall.
“Worse Stay at a hotel ever”
This experience was a disaster. The toilet overflowed and they would not help me. The manager would not accommodate me and my children after the toilet overflowed. The manager was rude and he would not even speak with me. DO NOT STAY @ HOMESTEAD SUITES in DALLAS...
“Dont use”
Arrived and got checked in, went to my room, it was trashed, bed wasn't made, fast food trash on coffee table, towels on floor in bathroom and the previous attendant had smoked in room which was a non-smoking room. The receptionist was apologetic and offered me a different room, but it was not clean yet. 2 hours after I checked in I finally got into my room. Rooms are not updated at all. Very small televisions and uncomfortable beds. Would not use again. Difficult to get to the hotel after you leave for any reason.
