Overnight

Very nice hotel and facilities but heavily overpriced. Room $258 with taxes, parking about $20, two cocktails $20, Steak Dinner with wine - no appetizer/desert - $180. Free internet!! More suited to a family stay rather than business or couples stay.

I chose the Gaylord Texan to celebrate my fiance's birthday. This was my first time to stay here, and I was very impressed. There was a Wizard of Oz theme during our stay, and the details that went into this were very nicely done.We enjoyed walking the many trails, took a stroll to the lake, had a drink at one of the small bar areas, and utilized our room for some much needed relaxation. The furniture in the room was a tad dated, but the bed was extremely comfortable. I do believe we will be staying longer next time so that we can experience the water park and night club. Definitely will be going back.

We had an absolute blast with our kids (8 and 4) and would recommend this hotel to ANYONE! There's truly something for everyone and Grapevine's downtown is incredibly charming and has tons of great resturants to enjoy! We will definitely be back!

Good Value

I've stayed at the Gaylord numerous times both with friends and with family. The property offers many activities (swimming, water park, running trail, winery, Glass Cactus nightclub, good food) and is close to shopping. Grapevine is a lovely town with several good wineries. I especially recommend taking a wine tour (Grapevine Wine Tours). The tour bus picks up customers from the Gaylord tour lobby...extremely convenient. I've never had a bad experience at this resort. The staff is super friendly and helpful.

Lovely hotel

Posted Jul 9, 2015
Pros: It's beautiful and interesting to walk around and see everything. Lots of places to just hang out, have a few drinks and spend time together.
Cons: There should be some type of discount on food and parking (parking should be free) for those who are paying to stay in the hotel.
Location: Downtown Grapevine is full of restaurants and lovely places to shop. Grapevine Mills Mall, Legoland and many other places are also nearby.
The hotel and the experience are very nice. It's awesome to feel like you're outside, while having the comfort of being indoors, especially during a Texas summer. There is lots to do inside the hotel, so very little need to leave.
