Perfect. I love this place. It is a bit pricey but it is worth every penny.

This was our first trip to Great Wolf Lodge and we were very satisfied with the whole experience. The Hotel staff around every corner were polite and helpful. The water park is child friendly and I truly felt comfortable watching the life guards take their job seriously. They were constantly on the look out and were nice and helpful to our children. We will definitely be going back sometime soon.

Great concept. Wonderful for children 13 and under

Pros: The waterpark is fabulous.
Cons: The rooms.
Location: Location is at the outskirts of Dallas. We spend all the time at the hotel. Recommend diner at Medieval Times a restaurant about 30 min away.
Rooms are nice but don't expect luxury. Hotel staff is great. Kids enjoyed the stay and we did too! The waterpark and slides are fabulous also when kids get tired of the water they can enjoy an interactive game of searching for clues inside the hotel, which is fantastic.

Indoor water park

Posted Jan 4, 2015
Pros: Water park, activities for kids.
Cons: Cleaning crew, waiters.
Nice place for kids during winter months. Indoor water park is good and there is a lot of activities for kids all around the hotel. Desk staff was nice. However, the waiters in the lobby restaurant were not helpful at all - they acted like they hated their jobs. Rooms are big enough, but the cleaning crew is not at the level you'd expect at a $300/night hotel. On the second day of our stay after we came back from the water park, we were surprised to see that the beds were not made and garbage bin not emptied. Dirty towels were picked up (so someone was in the room) but not replaced with the clean ones. We had to chase the cleaning crew to get some towels and asked them to come and clean the room after we leave the room for dinner an hour later. They showed up within 5 minutes while we were still in the room so we asked them to take the garbage out and leave coffee pouch for the morning. Our kids had good time and I hope our experience with the waiters and cleaning crew was one off.

Great place for "contained" recreation.

Pros: Everything is right there but you are still close to other tourist spots at the same time, if you want to explore.
Cons: The check-in seems to be a problem. I make reservations a month ahead of time and my family shows up for their vacation and the reservations are lost
Location: Of course, there is the indoor waterpark. Then there is story time and other things geared towards kids entertainment. There is also Grapevine Mills
The kids love it and never get bored. It was great family time for all present. Its one of the best Christmas gifts I have given my grown children and their families.

Kids galore

Perfect for families with kids. The magiquest was great fun for kids but torturous for parents! Recommend you buy the basic quest and wand anyways.

Disappointing

Posted Dec 29, 2014
Pros: Very kid oriented! Also our server "Debbie" in the 4th floor restaurant was amazing! It was obvious she loves her job'.
Cons: Attitude of water park workers, smoother check-in
Location: It was great with tons of food options and plenty of fun activities
Long lines to check in were ridiculous. When I finally got checked in I specifically ask Patty about charges for In-Room pay per view movies. She NEVER told me there were NONE. I didn't know until after trying to find them and after calling down to the front desk. Patty also told me to wait for her phone call that our room was ready . This was at 2:00. We sat in the lobby with me staring at my phone. By 4:30 my husband fought the line again to discover she hadn't "had time" to call...but our 3 rooms had been ready a long time! The kids had a blast and loved it all. The only thing is my 9 yr old asked why all the workers in the water park seemed so angry. The "characters" we're exceptionally good with children.

It's about the experience.

Pros: The red slide and the quests.
Cons: Pillows.
Location: No reason to stay here if you are looking for things to do nearby. However, there are a lot of good restaurants and shopping in the area.
This is not a hotel. It is a family adventure. The adventure gets a 5. Only the pillows bring the score down. The food is pretty good to average but also, not what you are here for. Bring comfy jammies to wear to dinner and breakfast, maybe something for a night out to one of the great nearby restaurants. Bring comfy slippers or shoes, swimsuits, and your own pillow. Those who have been here before know what I'm talking about. Go to the wand store early, because after dinner, it's all about the quests. Definitely recommended for families!! Not recommended for business travelers or people who are here to enjoy the sights outside of the Wolf Lodge.

Christmas Vacation with 5 children ages 3 to 15!!

Posted Dec 29, 2014
Pros: Everything we needed was within the resort - didn't leave for 2 days!!
Overall the kids LOVED the trip. The lodge was not overly packed. Lines moved quickly on the slides. My 3 year old enjoyed the toddler pool areas. Story time was excellent for all ages. Highly recommend the Grapevine, Tx location. Excellent care from the staff.
