Grand Bear Suite does not match online description

Posted Mar 31, 2015
The room was nice, but was not what was described online. It had no king bed at all - just 3 queens. Also, no fireplace, like it said on its web site. It did hold us all, though, and was spacious and clean!

Great weekend getaway with the kids

Posted Mar 26, 2015
Pros: What I like about this hotel was that you don't have to leave the hotel, everything is there .
Cons: I would like more food variety.
Location: More restaurant options Grapevine Mills Mall less than 5 minutes away
Arrived at 4 pm just in time to check in. Quick and fast check .When you check in they provide you with wrist bands which work as the key to your room and leave credit open from your credit card to charge food/drinks/souvenirs/etc. Very friendly front desk receptionist. I booked a 2 night 3 day stay. I booked this trip mainly because I am pregnant so I knew my kids ages 12,11,9 would really enjoy it and I would be able to relax and sit in the chairs and watch them from a short distance. There is plenty of lifeguards so kids are safe. They also have food and drinks inside the water park..very convenient . You practically have everything inside, no need to leave hotel unless your hungry in the middle of the night. There is a Whataburger restaurant 3 minutes away. Less than 5 minutes you will also find the Grapevine Mills Mall. Plenty of activities for the little ones. This water park resort is worth the price .

family fun

Posted Mar 23, 2015
the hotel is a great place for a quick getaway to spend fun time with the family. Don't know why they did away with the inflatable tubes at the wave pool but I assume it was for safety reasons. It used to be fun just relaxing and sitting in them. The pool area can get a little bit busy depending on when you go and the magic wand experience can be a little pricey but it is a great deal of fun for all ages. you can bring your own food as they have a microwave especially when it comes to a quick breakfast in the morning. There is a nearby pizza place on the corner that is really good for brick oven pizzas.

greatvtine but could use some work

Posted Mar 19, 2015
Staff could take more time to explain things to you. They also need to come clean your room everyday for towels and beds ect needs to be done if you stay multiple days. It was a lot of fun and we definitely fun time! Just could be little better.

Location: Good location. Lots to do.
Not very good. We were unable to take showers for three (3) nights... the hotel is old, had a broken chair, bathroom fan did not work and the alarm clock was broken. Small TV with limited channels. Not good at all for the price.

Way Too Crowded Water Park

Posted Mar 17, 2015
Pros: Lots of towels available in pool area
Cons: Hire more help, improve the food quality, add more elevators at ends of long hallways. Limit # of people in rooms.
Location: Grapevine, Texas
There were way too many people packed into the waterpark-hotel. It took over 30 minutes standing on the ladder to get up to the slides. The food was terrible...$13.00 hamburgers. We could not check into our room until after 5:00. We will not go back, as it was very expensive for what you get. There is a separate charge for all activities
