Family trip to State Fair

Posted Oct 6, 2014
Pros: Quick check in, beautiful hotel, rooms very comfortable, close to Galleria mall.
Cons: The Crockett restaurant had great food just horrible service
Location: Galleria is within walking distance
The hotel itself was beautiful, both inside & out. We normally stay at an Extended Stay or Embassy Suites when we travel together with our 3 kids but decided to stay at this beautiful Hilton. We of course needed extra pillows, blankets, and towels and the front desk was more than accommodating. Sunday morning we got up to have breakfast at the hotel restaurant, Crocketts. What looked like a nice elegant restaurant - the service was far from it. It was a party of 8. Me & my kids and my friend and her kids. The restaurant was just about empty except for another couple dining. It took 40 minutes to get our food. Not sure what took so long since they obviously weren't busy, once we received our food I noticed my kids each had an extra side (bacon). I told the waiter we didn't order bacon and he said it came with the meal. When the bill came, we were charged for the sides, and he mixed up the kids with what parent. When we brought it to his attention he was irritated. It took him 3 times to get the tickets correct. Lucky for him his gratuity was already included. The hotel is great. We slept great, enjoyed the nice switch up from our traditional Embassy but do not both eating at Crocketts. Too expensive, bad service, and if you have other sites to see in Dallas this is not a get in/get out quick place to dine in. Hope this is helpful

Very nice experience

Pros: Hilton beds are always great! Multiple elevators cut down on wait time. Spacious lobby and public areas.
Cons: WiFi codes printed on the key envelope would be convenient, to avoid having to call down for that info. I always find the parking expenses offensive
Location: Galleria shopping - Dallas Tollway -
Comfortable rooms with Hilton beds. Location excellent - across the freeway from The Galleria - located on the Dallas North Tollway, which gave quick access to downtown arts district and entertainment. Desk assistance was a little confused and determined to be "correct" but quickly taken over by a young lady with much better attitude and knowledge.

Market love

Posted Aug 16, 2014
Pros: Everything, location, staff, cleanliness and over all feel! We even indulge in room service every once in a while and its fantastic.
Location: Galleria, lots of great food and then its really close to our two favorite restaurant's, PF Changs and Cheesecake Factory!
We go to market at the at the WTC three times a year and we choose to stay at the Hilton Lincoln Center because they do not change the prices like the hotels closer to market, its VERY VERY nice, friendly staff, close to food and shopping and close to market, very easy to get too. We absolutely refer it to anyone who asks where we stay!

Drive the extra 15mins to go downtown

Posted Aug 8, 2014
The air conditioning vents made popping noises all night. The bathroom had small about of room and paint chipping. The window seal was completely cracked and bowing. Drive the extra time to go downtown and stay at the omni or Hyatt regency for the same price.

Nice place for vacation, not just for business

Posted Jul 23, 2014
Pros: Very friendly staff at bar, valet, shuttle, maintenance and room service. Quick response to needs in the room like more tissues, slow flushing toilet.
Cons: Pool-needs maintenance. Parking prices, Drink/food prices-too high Shuttle should have more than 3mi radius. Maybe the shuttle could pick up later?
Location: Galleria-Shopping Great places to eat on Belt Line Road - Shuttle will take you to most Fun dancing with live bands - Sherlock's
We chose this hotel for a quick 4 day vacation because we wanted to relax and hang out by the outdoor pool while being close to restaurants and shopping. The weather wasn't that great the first two days of our stay so we hung out at the hotel bar. Great atmosphere and awesome service from Carlos, but pricy. The shuttle will take you to/from the Galleria Mall on the hour, so we took advantage of that in the cloudy weather. Mall was beautiful, good shops and restaurants to choose from. Finally got to the outdoor pool in the sun. Good size pool. We had to get our own drinks and food to take down, but the staff at the bar was very accommodating in getting us plastic cups, ice bucket, silverware, anything we needed. The pool area had nice chairs to lounge in and tables to eat at. The pool itself needed some work and was very cold, but the water was clear. Good experience for a quick getaway. The pool needs work - Missing tiles, mold growing where tiles were missing, floor had stains, bugs floating on top, very cold water. Price to park your car is outrageous, and shuttle only has 3mi radius.

Comfortable but noisy.

The hotel amenities were nice (gym, bar and shuttle) and the room was comfortable but the rooms were noisy. The noises from surrounding rooms and plumbing drainage noises were consistent.

Dallas Get-Away

Pros: Updated decor & clean facility. Courteous & friendly hotel staff.
Cons: Froze in the room (in July) until figured out thermostat! Parking garage entrance/exit hard to negotiate in large vehicle.
Location: Old Grapevine, Bush Presidential Library, Northpark & Galleria shopping centers
Enjoyed the stay! Nice facility for North Dallas area. Very quiet room. Nice pool and fitness center.
