Good hotel, great for the price

This hotel has just finished a makeover and the rooms have a clean, modern feel. The multitude of outlets and lighting options are great, but they also did a nice job maximizing the seating in the small rooms. My complaints are the small doorways into the bathrooms (old hotel) and the restaurant food was below average (but there's an In-n-Out just down the road). Also, the fitness center has no weights, just cardio machines. But a great location, clean rooms, and great value mean I would stay here again.

To begain with the pool was closed then the manger offered us a pass to a fitness center , where there was no pool. Then the manger offered a free night for another time and didn't follow thought with it . Bad all around .

It was stressful. I stay here all the time, but had a terrible time checking in. The hotels.com confirmation number was useless, it does not appear in their system. It took 10 minutes and 3 desk clerks to find my reservation. So, I hesitate to use hotels.com in the future. They were very nice the entire time though, and gave me free breakfast coupons for the entire weekend for my trouble. Air conditioner either gale force or off. Hard to get room comfortable for sleeping. Overall, I would stay again because of location and friendliness of staff. They did really try to help, but the Holiday Inn systems and furnishings make it difficult for them.
