It was nice, but we have stayed at other Homewood Suites, so I think we expected a little more. We had minor issues, that the staff was quick to correct when able.
There was a musty smell to our room, and the bathroom door is misaligned to where it was hard to open once you shut it. There were no menus for local restaurants in our room- I guess that’s outdated now that everyone has a phone.
There was no tv remote for the tv in the bedroom, but I went down to the desk and they quickly found one. The fridge was nice and cold, but the ice maker did not work. I went downstairs and the desk clerk got me a big bag of ice.
We did not use the dishwasher because it was full of standing water- but the sink worked and had dish soap and clean dishcloths. The bed was comfortable and the air was cold. The hallways seemed very noisy- not much soundproofing in the room, so we were woken by slamming doors and loud voices throughout the night.
The breakfast was free, hot, and delicious. Lots of options from eggs, biscuits, sausage, toast, cereal, bagels, coffee and juices. Pastries, yogurt…. The list goes on and on. Anything you want! The area was clean and well maintained, and the staff was attentive to the guests. The dining area has a tv and a view of the pool- it was a nice area to hang out and meet other guests.
Overall we had a pleasant getaway- it’s just we expected a bit more from the Hilton name, and the price that goes with that.
