Cancelled my reservation

Posted May 20, 2014
I pulled up and there was old paper on the restaurant windows. Hotel room had huge stains on carpets and the remodel was not done, it had not even started. I cancelled the reservation and would never recommend it to anyone. I hate to camp and I would choose that over this hotel!

This is a very good and clean hotel. Very close to the West End and many bars and restaurants. Staff was very helpful. Would definitely come back and would definitely recommend it to a friend.

Nice from Far but Far from Nice

Posted May 19, 2014
Pros: The hotel is a few minutes stroll to Dealey Plaza and Texas School Book Depository. It's also right by Union Station. Internet & breakfast is included
Cons: Update all the furniture in the lobby, use brighter lighting and repaint the walls. It needs to look more inviting and less like it was forgotten.
Location: Union Station, Dealey Plaza and 6th Floor Museum is close. Anything to eat is a few blocks away at best. Other museums are close but shopping is far.
Hotel staff were friendly. It's too bad that the hotel itself didn't offer the same atmosphere. The hotel is in Downtown Dallas. It needs a lot of attention. Everything is extremely outdated.

The staff tries but this hotel is old.

Posted May 15, 2014
Pros: The staff and the breakfast were good.
Cons: The decor could use major upgrades. The wood needed polishing and sanding. The tV need to be upgraded, the TV service was basic cable, no movies, etc.
Location: The location is terrible and you get the sense of isolation among the big building in the area. Move along there is nothing to see here!
This hotel has definitely seen better days. The hotel is out of the way of everything. There is no decent restaurant that one can see for at least a mile. There is no place to buy toiletries or those other things one always forgets to pack. The hotel staff is nice and even gave me free water but the ice buckets are too small. The TV is ancient, not a flat screen but one of those you can pick up for 10 bucks. The bathroom while clean had a plastered repair to the shower that made it unsightly. The shower was powerful the decor was not too bad except that above the tile it was painted this awful burgundy. The room was small and the carpet though out the whole hotel was old and in need of replacement. The continental breakfast was not bad, they even had scrambled eggs and sausage.

Charming!

I had an enjoyable stay here. The bathroom was recently remodeled but the tub fixture was not secured to the wall. It is an obviously old place but very charming and the staff very helpful.

Dont stay here down town dallas

Posted Apr 22, 2014
The room did not have decent covering on the windows. I had to pin the drapes closed. Shower head didnt work properly. Parking unsafe & an employee of the hotel parked behind me & I could not leave the next morning. Late to my appointment because they couldn't locate employee.

Nice stay

Nice hotel but old, no ghosts were encountered. Close to my venue and worth the money.
