Renovation does not necessarily mean improvement.

Pros: Always love the friendly, positive and quick service and the quality Like (non GMO and gluten free) food in the restaurants.
Cons: See above. Also more people working front desk early Sunday morning. More gluten free options. Like GF Pizza!
Location: West End seems to be dwindling down with restaurant and shopping options. But still lovely!
Dr. Fernandes and myself have been regular guests at Hyatt Hotels now for 8 years, staying at Hyatts all around the country with the Pinnacle Mngt group. Staying at the Hyatt has always been a perk for us, because the elegant comfort of the rooms and the dependable comfort of the beds and pillows. It had the ambience of a high-end heath resort with gorgeous, yet not overly ornately decorated rooms (beds, chaise, comfy chair). And we boasted about the beds and pillows and often recommended Hyatt Hotels to our traveling patients (we are a Chiropractic practice) because of that. That has all been lost with this new renovation. The rooms are very dark and cold and the ultra-modern furnishings are anything but comfortable and relaxing. The sparse bedding and those new "mini pillows", although I know are the newest decorating trend, make for a miserable night's sleep. The pillows smash down too flat, but you can't put two together as they split apart all night, ending up on the floor or way on the other side of the bed. Add to that the room temperature - either freezing cold or boiling hot no matter what setting on the thermostat. Also, I don't know what has changed, but I could literally hear the person in the next room snoring through the walls. And why no bath tubs? Women like to take a relaxing bath when traveling. It seems that you're catering to a trendy, all male, young, wealthy "Urban Modern" cliental. But that doesn't describes the guests I saw in the hotel that weekend

Convenient in Dallas

Posted Apr 2, 2014
Pros: Modern, clean, conveniently located with restaurants and a large sports bar. Very helpful staff and no problems with our stay.
Location: Many shops, museums, restaurants are within walking distance. The Dallas Dlink bus provides free transportation to most of the city.
This is a first rate hotel conveniently located near the Convention Center, Dealy Plaza and the historic West End Marketplace. The Reunion Tower is also located on the property with extraordinary views of Dallas.

Pros: We were pleasantly surprised by the beautifully updated rooms. Great contemporary style with views of Hunt bridge.
We only stayed one night after attending an event downtown.

Nice hotel and staff. Loud trains.

The hotel and staff was great in every way. However, our room was across from the very busy train station and we got no sleep on Thursday night. It was much better on Friday. They give you eat plugs but couldn't sleep with those either.

Great view of downtown Dallas

Pros: View and the elevators. Complimentary Dallas Morning News
Cons: No hot tub (jacuzzi). Reduce parking fee - $19/day on a hill away is too much
Location: Downtown Dallas - lots of things to do. Walking distance to Sixth Floor Museum.
Downtown view is nice, but you might need earplugs because the main train station is directly next to the hotel.
