Iconic hotel in Dallas

Posted Jun 28, 2015
Pros: Large rooms, great location, excellent facilities and close to many attractions despite being at the western end of Downtown.
Cons: Would appreciate an ironing board in the room!
Location: Must do Dallas JFK Tour and M-Line Trolley and Dallas Zoo and Dallas Museum of Art and Old Red Museum. Kids will enjoy the interactive Perot Museum.
Iconic hotel which is very close to transport (DART Union Station) - very handy in the hot & humid Dallas summer weather. The hotel shop provides a large selection of inexpensive things to eat and drink in your room or elsewhere. Close to Dallas Convention Centre and Union Station. Dallas City Tours are very knowledgeable and only ten minutes by DART from the excellent Dallas Zoo. Enjoyed a free trolley ride on M-Line up McKinney Avenue and back.

Good hotel for business and leisure

Posted Jun 27, 2015
I stayed in Hyatt in NJ last time for vacation which is wonderful. This I tried this time again when I have business this time in Dallas. It is too perfect. Room is clean and very much comfort with modern design. Lobby and the in-house bar and restaurant are very upscale. I definitely recommend to everyone.

Clean hotel, never had to leave

Posted Jun 21, 2015
Pros: We enjoyed everything this hotel had to offer, from the onsite restaurants to the convention space. Loved the Italian restaurant & it's setting.
Cons: Checkout could be a little faster. Also valet would not answer the phone when leaving to get our car pulled around for faster service.
Location: Located downtown with Reunion Tower attached & a tunnel to Union Station. Walking distance to several sites, including the area J.F. Kennedy got shot.
We used the electronic kiosk check in, it was fast and easy. I would definitely recommend that if there is a line. We had a great room over looking down town which was a bonus that we didn't have to pay extra for. The room was clean, everything worked well, the shower was big and water pressure was great. My husband is 6 ft tall and did not have to duck to shower so that is a huge plus. We enjoyed meals in the restaurants, especially the Italian restaurant. Checkout was a little time consuming, there was an option thru the interactive TV which was probably faster, but we went the inperson route and was in line awhile.

Cons: We got rooms on the quiet side, where highway noise was significant. Reducing traffic noise is not cheap, but a 4 star hotel should be quieter.
Comfortable but not quiet. My colleague and I are both acoustical consultants, so we pay a lot of attention to sound.

Two days in Dallas

Posted Jun 17, 2015
My mom and I drove down to Dallas from OKC for an overnight trip. I chose this hotel due to its proximity to the Sixth Floor Museum. Upon arrival the clerk asked me if I had a room preference. High and with a view was my reply. And he certainly obliged. 16th floor looking towards the skyline. Room was clean comfy and just a little noisy. Train tracks were below the hotel but it wasn't too bad. Parking could have been better as the lot was across the street. But overall for the price we had a great stay and I would stay here again.

Great hotel. Gotta travel a bit for food unless you eat at the hotel restaurant.
