Management Sean

Sean the evening manager was fantastic. While he was busy he gave my wife and I his time to help us out by getting us transportation finding us a place to eat during late hours and reimbursed us for the taxi.

Reservations don't matter!!

Posted Aug 11, 2014
I had a reservation for two queen beds, non smoking. I get there to check in and they only have smoking rooms with queen beds left. I have a son that had asthma so the smoking room won't work, that why I reserved non smoking. So they give me a king bed with two roll away beds that were horrible. The mattresses were thin and you could feel the bars and springs. So they slept in the floor on the mattresses in an already crowded room. Then while checking in they tried to tell me that I hadn't paid for the room. So I had to show them that I did and that it went through my account already. The whole reservation was a mess. The room was warm and the halls and elevator were like a sauna.

Hotel stay

Posted Aug 7, 2014
We made reservations with LaQuinta North to accommodate our early a.m. departure. The staff was friendly and professional. The breakfast area was set up early for our 5:30 departure. The shuttle only travels within five miles of hotel, so if you need to return a rental car you will be required to take rental car shuttle back to airport to get hotel shuttle. Rooms are very worn, bath towels felt like burlap, and we could hear our neighbors conversations.

Excellent Hotel

Posted Aug 4, 2014
Pros: Close to the airport. Free shuttle to and from the airport. Free wifi Decent sized bedrooms
Had a layover at the airport so booked this hotel as it was nice and cheap! I wasn't expecting much due to the price but I was totally surprised. The shuttle picked us up from the airport and took us to the hotel. Check in was quick and easy as the receptionist had prepared everything beforehand (knew to expect us as I phoned to ask about the shuttle). The bedroom was larger than I expected and was very clean. The bathroom was also a decent size and clean. We used the shuttle to get back to the airport the following morning. Free wifi and free breakfast were also included in the price. Our shuttle to the airport was at 5am and we were surprised to see some items were already laid out for breakfast so we managed to grab a pastry and fruit for the journey. Overall, for the price I paid I was extremely happy with this hotel. Wish some of the hotels we've used for longer stays were as nice as this hotel.

Staff very helpful and courteous. Had Dominos pizza delivered in the middle of the night and in no less than 35-40 mins our orders came right to our room.

Poor service and shower was the pits.

Posted Aug 2, 2014
Pros: Breakfast was okay.
Cons: Service.
Location: Get on an airplane.
The shower dribbled out some water, not enough to wash my hair, hardly enough to wash my body. Could not get it to change to run a bath. Told the man at the front desk and his reply was nil. He just went quickly to when the shuttle would be leaving for the airport. No, sorry, or we'll look into it.

Worst La Quinta Experience EVER

Posted Jul 30, 2014
Pros: Room was clean- that is all!
Cons: Needs NEW STAFFING & CUSATOMAEAR SEARVICE TRAINING ASAP!! Equipment needs to be fixed. Shuttle service needs to operate more often and efficiently.
Location: Good location to airport. No dining nearby than a Whataburger barely within walking distance.
Staffing was rude and uninformative, especially front desk woman "S'. She was rude to us when calling to get shuttle from airport and even answered phone saying " hello" not La Quinta" wasnt sure we had hotel till I asked. ( btw, shuttle only runs every hour to airport and if you call 3 min after the hour you wait an hour till next run even though its at airport then) Also witnessed employee, "S', tell a man inquiring for airport directions that " She didnt work at the airport now did she so he needed to call someone there for directions". Unacceptable!! You should know this given you work at airport hotel. Both luggage cart tires were flat. Front desk said no way to fix or air up. Both icemakers on our floor were out of order. Several people complained to us in elevator about staff & facilities. Shuttle runs on 1/2 hour to business in 5 mile radius and ends at 11. We asked for drop off at 10 to dine then we would take cab back. We were told " No as had no gas in shuttle and to order Dominos." There is no diningwhithin walking distance. Postive was room was clean but we will never stay here again or recommend. Definitely not typial LaQuinta standards!!
