Surprised by experiencePosted Feb 25, 2015
Difficult to open room door from inside after it was locked - could be an issue in an emergency. No exercise room. Have stopped checking since previous La Quinta's had them. Breakfast was very limited, unlike other La Quintas. Staff was extremely nice and helpful. Really like La Quintas, but will be thorough in my research next time.

Great Location just too noisyPosted Feb 17, 2015
Pros: Location and value
Stayed here for a business trip. The staff was friendly upon check in and the room was clean and comfortable. Only problem encountered is the close proximity the hotel is to Hwy 75 and the noise from traffic was very noticeable in the room. Made for going to sleep a little less quiet.

Nice staffPosted Feb 17, 2015
Pros: staff was very nice
Location: I liked the location, nice neighborhood.
The staff was very nice but, TV didn't work I reported it to the management but never showed up to fix it. We only stay for 1 night so it wasn't a big deal for us. Also, there was no milk in the breakfast bar, the rooms were very clean and neat.

Great location, close to lots of good restaurantsPosted Feb 16, 2015
Pros: Centrally located; walking distance to great variety of restaurants.
Cons: Traffic is loud and rooms close loudly.
Location: SMU, Northpark shopping, Downtown Dallas
Clean and spacious room for the price. Beds/pillows comfy. Front side of hotel is loud/traffic.

Wake up CallPosted Feb 15, 2015
I had to be at the hospital @ 5:45 am for surgery. I ask the front desk to give me a wake up call at 445 am and another at 500 am., I did not receive either call, but fortunately woke up on my own at 5:15 am , before I left I called the front desk to see what happened, the operator said I was supposed to have had the calls and informed me that they had been having some problems with the wake up calls. I made it to the hospital on time, but was extremely unhappy regarding the matter.

Pros: The location
Cons: More variety of food vending options.

This hotel was the most convenient to the locations I needed to get to. The check in and out went smoothly, the room was clean and comfortable. Very basic accommodations.

La Quinta Inn Dallas UptownPosted Jan 26, 2015
We enjoyed out stay at the La Quinta. I would suggest that the water on the right side of the entrance be cleaned up. I don't like having to walk thru water to get into the hotel. The computer was down on Thursday evening when we arrived. It still was not working when we left. The young black man was very helpful in telling us how to get to The George Bush Library. and printing directions to the DWF airport so we could return our rental car. We would stay there again in we were in Dallas.

Very MediocrePosted Jan 20, 2015
Cons: The entire room needed a face lift.
Stayed Wednesday to Monday and the maid service did not even come into the room at all one day. Very worn down rooms, and in particular the bathrooms were quite aged. Nothing to get excited about at all.

Good location, near everything.Posted Jan 19, 2015
The hotel looks a bit old in the outside but the inside of the room was very ok, the tv, rug, beds look quite new. Very well iluminated at night. In the street at the back of the hotel, there are mini bars and small places to eat, very good option for young people. 7 minutes to downtown, 8 minutes from World Trade Center (Dallas Trade Market), 7 minutes to Dealey Plaza (where JFK was shot). The breakfast is some apples, muffins, waffles, bread, yogurt, orange and apple juice and boiled eggs. The only negative at the hotel was the fluctuation in the shower water temperature. In the 4 days I stayed, there wasn't a complete minute of same shower water temperature. The first morning I got a wake up call at 6:30 am who I didn't ask, next days I left the phone disconected to make sure didn't happen again (no big deal).
