Didnt like the fact I had to pay extra for valet

Posted Apr 13, 2014
Pros: It was clean and convenient and the staff was very friendly
Cons: Not paying extra for valet, should be included for staying at hotel
Location: Great location, nice restaurants
I liked everything except having to pay extra for valet

Thank you for choosing to stay at the Le Meridien Dallas, The Stoneleigh. I was disappointed to see that you did not enjoy your experience with us. I apologize that our valet fees negatively impacted your stay and thank you for providing us this valuable feedback. Unfortunately, As a downtown property we do not have a self parking option. We hope that you will choose to return to see us and try us again.

Renovated boutique hotel in active "uptown" Dallas

Posted Apr 9, 2014
A small hotel that has been taken over by a chain and nicely renovated. The room and bathroom were far nicer than any I have stayed in recently. The staff were very pleasant and professional. Small but nice lobby bar. Breakfast at the restaurant was excellent. Centrally located in Dallas, within walking distance of many "uptown" restaurants.

We have stayed at The Stoneleigh numerous times and have enjoyed the staff and the lively guests. The Lobby and Lounge renovations will be great when finished.

This is my go to hotel in Dallas - but....

Posted Mar 27, 2014
Pros: Boutique style....historical but modern....service....room service
Cons: Discount your rate if the hotel is under construction - basic hotel 101
Location: It's in Uptown Dallas.....very nice area with a ton of stuff to do within walking distance.
I paid full rate for my two night stay and I stay here EVERY single time I am in Dallas - which is quite often. I can appreciate that LeMeridien since it's takeover is making enhancements to the hotel BUT when you book a hotel and pay over $340/night without any notice of potential or ongoing construction - you may feel a little slighted. As it typically goes - honesty is always the best policy - there was no notification that construction was rampant across the hotel and IN THE LOBBY. I checked into the hotel by visiting a makeshift front desk that you would find at a craft fair in Kansas - seriously. While that experience could potentially make myself second guess future stays at the hotel - I will say that the staff, rooms and room service was all very satisfactory. Just don't try to hide something and try to get users to pay full price when they are receiving a less than full price experience.

Nicely renovated historic hotel

Very nice hotel, staff was terrific, quite and restful. Just don't dine there unless slow service, cold food and high prices are acceptable to you.

ok hotel

Posted Feb 21, 2014
Pros: the service was really good
Cons: free valet for guests. update bathrooms, nicer furniture (the drawer handles kept falling off when I gently pulled on it.
Location: ok location
its an older building and you can tell. my stay was ok but I would have probably preferred staying at a different hotel. it cost $25 for valet and valet is the only option you have at this hotel which is a downside because I already spent enough on the room itself. i spent extra on an upper room we got a view of a building.

Classy Uptown Dallas Destination

Posted Feb 18, 2014
Quick turnover - short, one night getaway with the wifey, but the room was great and ambience and décor of the hotel were very nice and very cool. Great Uptown Dallas location close to hip dining and nightlife. Would do again.

Its a good hotel but not a great hotel.

Posted Feb 10, 2014
Pros: Big rooms.
Cons: It needs atmosphere and something that connects it with the legendary southern hospitality.
Great staff on the whole but rather surly and hapless breakfast waitress. Bad breakfast service, no weekend newspapers. Rooms good size but I think the whole place lacks an atmosphere. It doesn't reach out and say "you're my guest and I am here to make sure that you always come back to us".
