Comfortable but lacked an efficient service

Posted Jul 15, 2014
The Omni Dallas hotel is comfortable and well located - within walking distance to the JFK museum and next to the convention centre. The hotel has great city views. Our room however overlooked an active and very noisy building site, without any pre-warning or reference to this from staff that checked us in. In addition our phone calls outside the room (to room service, front desk or concierge) were very slow to be picked up, or often went unanswered. Similarly the front desk service was extremely slow and clearly overburdened.

Great hotel

Posted Jul 13, 2014
Pros: The staff, the room, parking and variety of restaurants/bars.
Cons: More seating near the pool.
Location: Close to downtown. Kennedy memorial, 6th floor museum. The heritage open air museum worth to visit. Art museum and the parkarea close to it.
Nice and friendly staff. Good parking although a little expensive. Walking distance, if you like to walk, to downtown. We had a good, clean room with beautiful view over downtown on the 15th floor. Nice restaurants/bars and one even with terrace. What we didn't like: we had only one glass in the room and none at all in the bathroom. We asked to arrange it for us, but nothing happened. Not even the next morning with the room cleaning. For a hotel like this, bad! Nice swimming pool, but on a warm, hot day not enough seating for such a big hotel.

Where'd all the kids come from?

Posted Jul 10, 2014
Pros: The facilities & staff were great.
Cons: Don't allow children.
Shared parking with the convention center leaves few spots for hotel guests. Check in was easy & the whole quiet hours thing is great. I'm there to rest & I like quiet. Thanks for that. THEN I decide to use the awesome pool & there were lots of kids. Dad & son with squirt guns shooting at each other. Screaming kids demanding attention not cool. I used the pool for about 5 minutes & then had to call it a day after the cannonballs started raining. Second time I went to check out the pool, there were more kids. Didn't get to really enjoy the pool or the rooftop bar. Went downstairs ordered a whiskey went to my room & decided I should've stayed elsewhere if that's what my experience was gonna be. Maybe holiday inn. That's all it takes. Not sure about paying that much again for a disappointment.

A Really Nice Hotel

Posted Jul 9, 2014
Pros: Great view of the city.
Cons: Free WiFi would be great.
Location: The Perot Museum of Nature and Science, Dallas Aquarium, and Dealey Plaza were close by.
The hotel was conveniently located, very clean and the staff was very pleasant. I would definitely stay there again.

I expected more from this hotel

Posted Jul 8, 2014
We stayed one night and was not impressed at all. Hampton Inn is much nicer. We had 3 homeless people come up to us right in front of the hotel. The only things that were goid was the view from our room and breakfast. Valet employees extremely pleasant. Pool area was nice but could not smoke in the outside area, you can serve alcohol but felt it was way more dangerous than smoking. Not at all a kid friendly hote. Will not be staying there nor recommending this hotel

Service was Poor

Posted Jul 7, 2014
Beautiful Hotel, but service was poor. Nobody even helped to open any doors even when you're struggling with your luggage. Rooms were not cleaned thoroughly.
