“would stay again”

The room was very comfortable and clean. The staff very nice. I was concerned staying alone but felt very secure. The bar and restaurant were a definate convenience

“Rated a 3.5 star hotel, but really more like a 2.5”

I booked this hotel because expedia rated it a 3.5 star hotel. But I was really disappointed with the quality and overall comfort of this hotel. They had sleep by number beds but they did not work, so you were stuck with the setting they were on. Also I expected to find a good size flay screen tv, but it was a poor quality old school 27 inch tv. Never stayed at a 3.5 tar hotel with this crappy of tv. spent 30 minutes in the hallway waiting for maintenance to change the batteries in the hotel room door so we could get into the room. They charged 30 bucks for an early check in. then we sat in the hall waiting for maintenance to fix the door. Overall a decent hotel, but not what it is rated. Would not pay the asking rate for this hotel.

“afuji”

this might drive up the price, but i love a hotel that includes breakfast as one of their ammenities. but they were really nice and friendly and the breakfast is still decently priced even if its not free (included in overall price). also it was kind of awkward the location of the pool.

“Everything was great, except for the bed”

Everything was great, except for the sleep number bed, which was very uncomfortable. Check in was quick, room was spacious, good housekeeping, all appliances and gadgets worked as intended. Coffee shop breakfast was sumptuous! Might visit again if the beds are swapped out for normal, comfortable foam mattresses!

“Ladies n Gentle.....man oh man!”

This is America, where woman are able to vote and be billionaires. Well, I was truly given a taste of over a century ago when I visited Park Inn in Irving, Texas. "Paul" greeted my male friend as I told him my last name to check in. I gave him MY license, corresponding to the reservation I made and PAID for with MY credit card. After he put a $100 hold on MY card, he proceeded to face and tell my male friend the room number and handed HIM the keys!!! He even said "Thank you, SIR!" Bad Karma "Paul"! The room was nice...reasonably priced....not happy with the service. Feeling a bit Rosie the Riveter?

“Well-kept”

The hotel looks like it was built in the 60s or 70s, but it has been taken care of. The room was very comfortable and had a couch, chair, and desk. I really enjoyed it. The hotel location is near the airport, but aesthetically, the location is lacking. We did not mind, however, because we got a great room rate.

“Half way between downtown Dallas and the Cowboy Stadium”

This hotel is convenient to the airport and rental cars, but isolated if you do not have a car. We came for a football game at the Cowboy Stadium and to tour downtown Dallas. Our friends were staying near the stadium or Six Flags, so we chose to be between them and downtown. The Park Inn location served this purpose perfectly. The hotel was very quiet, though there were lots of people staying there, I did not hear them in the halls or lobby. Everything is indoors, the rooms have balconies overlooking the lobby and the pool was to one side of the ground (lobby) floor. There is a small gift shop. Service was good, the room was clean. We had a sleep number bed with duvet. Free wi fi and 40in flat screen TV. Excellent central air conditioning and no smoking inside. Not a brand new hotel, but fast elevators and plenty of hot water. Everything in the Dallas area is far apart, so if you are going for one specific reason stay close to that place. Staying at the Park Inn requires a car to get around, but it is right in the middle of all the places to go to...everything is less than 15 miles away. There is a Walmart Super Center one mile down the street from the Park Inn for any "needs" that come up and the Park Inn has a shuttle that will take you 3 miles.

Area recommendations

Stay by Six Flags if you are going there, stay by the Cowboy Stadium if you are going there, stay downtown if you want the feel of a city and have business there. The distances between the stadium or Six Flags to downtown needs a car, (20 miles). You can get around downtown with public transportation, and most hotels near the airport or Six Flags have a shuttle, but only around their area and to and from the airport.

When to go

Go anytime except in the hottest part of summer. It is oppressively hot with hot wind. The nights do not cool down either.

Getting around

You really need a car, the distances between everything is too far to walk.
