Motel to skip

Pros: Deceptive outlook before making selection

A) Refuse to give accommodation on 1st floor even though available under a lame excuse that it is not ready until forced to disclose physical limitation. B) Room cleanliness was sub standard including overall inside room environment was poor. C) Not Enough lighting in the room + couple of light fixtures mounted on the wall would not work. D) Old ancient TV with such a bad resolution. E) Front Desk customer services was not as expected in general at other motes / hotel F) No room to accommodate courteous request to overstay 15 minutes + on top of that calling to vacate room at 11 sharp. H) Front Desk with no morning new paper or other commonly offered amenities.

Not what we had hoped for.

Pool filled in with dirt. Room in need of repair such as ceiling chipping and in need of paint. Shower stall not presentable. Tolit lid loose. Skimpy on soap and towels. No remote for TV. Refrigerator not cool. Could see under door to outside. Burned out lightbulbs. Heating/cooling not working properly. No blowdryer. Ran out of hot water during shower.

I checked into the room and found the TV didn't work that well. The air conditioning/heating unit was unplugged witch I found out was because you couldn't turn the unit off. The bed was good and the room had hot water.

One word, dump

Pros: It was cold out and I did not have to sleep in a box. The box would of been more comfortable, but it is dangerous to heat.
Cons: Start with staff, front desk personal or owner. Whoever he was, he was the rudest person I had ever met. Have heated boxes available as alternative.
Location: No heated boxes available for shelter, sorry.
Staff rude, room not clean, site a old and run down. Old ok, run down, not so much, I am hoping the sheets were clean, because the room was not. If the front desk personal was the owner, he should invest in a personality and a class in how to be at least civil with customers. We don't want him to be our best friend, but we sure did not feel like we were welcome. I do not think he realized we were paying him for our stay, it was not our privileged to be staying at his motel. We got the feeling we should of thanked him for allowing us to spend our money there and be grateful he was charging us to use his room. He kept saying we got the last room, over half the rooms were empty, only a few cars were ever seen in the drive way at any given time of day/night. We decided we must have got the last occupiable room, and all the others had been condemned. We know we should of made the reservations as soon as we knew where the cotton bowl was going to be, our fault for not making reservations around the country and canceling the ones we did not need.

Bad Customer Service

When i was checking in on Dec 14 2013 the front desk person asked me if he could put me in smoking room and i told him no and he told me why not in a rude way ,and i told him because we don't smoke .Then later on when my husband went and asked him for a do not disturb sign he said why don't you want us to clean your room do you have dog ,and my husband told him no we don't have a dog. Then on Sunday when my husband was getting ice for his cooler the same man comes out and tells my husband not to get all the ice because there were more customers.To me it seemed like he had the camera on us all the time . we will never be staying in this motel anymore :(

This is an older motel, and seems to be in need of some repair.. and the neighborhood is questionable. I was there on a Thursday night, and only a couple of other cars in the parking lot. The pillows on the bed were not hardly any substance, but it was a place to sleep.

You get what you pay for

This was a last minute trip and I needed something in Arlington TX. It really wasn't bad but it won't be at the top of my list anytime soon. Also, make sure you tell the desk attendant that you pre-paid or he will charge you. The actual hotel room was very spacious. You get a nice sized room for the price.

Excellent 2 star hotel

Pros: The attention to maintenance and general cleanliness of the room and grounds.
Cons: My bed was a bit hard for my taste
Location: Texas masonic retirement center and UT Arlington
This is as basic as you can get. No continental breakfast or for that matter coffee in the lobby in the AM or in the rooms. Clean comfortable room at a good price and near my destination. All that really matters was done well. Place possibly had no more than 6 rooms rented on the date I was there and deserves more patronage. I suspect but can't prove that the hotel does business with the nearby University (University of Texas at Arlington)
