Old, Outdated & Rundown not RecommendedPosted Jul 21, 2013
Pros: The second front desk clerk who spoke English was nice.
Cons: The whole hotel and overall customer service.
Location: Small, nice, quaint town, with a few shops and limited restaurants with not very much todo. Salem is approx. 25 minutes away.
It is obvious from the moment you walk into the tiny front desk area that it is rundown. Initially made contact with a barefooted East Indian male who did not speak English and who eventually located the desk clerk. It's obvious that there is no pride or effort into improving this hotel's condition, the room smelled horrible, the housekeepers never showed up to clean the room, the mattress was extremely uncomfortable and very hard. The air conditioner in the room was so loud that we could not sleep from the noise. The shampoo was a condiment sized packet with a tiny bar of soap. In closing this hotel is in terrible condition, which in turn makes it extremely uncomfortable.

Pros: There was a big creek running by it so you could hear the water.
Cons: Hard beds and no hot water
Location: Location was ok. Didn't hear ongoing traffic.
When walking in the room it smelled very musty. No alarm/radio clock. No hot water at all. Just only got luke warm. Couldn't take a shower. When saying something to the manager when we checked out we just got that basic story " well everyone was probably trying to take a shower at the same time. " We told her it was like that at midnight the night before and that morning too. The response was just " well thank you for letting me know"

Riverside Inn in Dallas, OregonPosted Jan 21, 2012 on Hotels.com
Don't stay here! Unfriendly check-in. (No smiles-acted impatient to register me as a guest.) Table and several counter tops hadn't been cleaned. Old shower curtain had pink mold on the bottom. Took almost 3 minutes to get hot water out of tap. Old, white-grey towels. No shampoo or lotion available. Bottom sheet and shabby mattress pad did not fit and kept sliding off the mattress. Loud (banging, yelling, cussing) neighbor but I didn't feel safe to let office know. I would've checked out but I wasn't sure I could get another hotel due to the severe weather road conditions,

Like the smell of moth balls? Then you'll love it!Posted Jan 18, 2012
Pros: Nice lady in the office.
Cons: Umm, everything?
Location: Riverside?? more like swampside.
You can't polish a turd. This is an old motel, the owners have added new paint and make an effort to keep it clean. But....it has a terrible smell (a little like moth balls) clean but old sheets, just one bedspread over the sheets, pillows that probably cost $2.99 at the local WalMart, beds that feel like a sheet of plywood to sleep on, very small, paper thin walls that you hear the voices of the people in the next room. We should have taken the advice of the people at Western Oregon and stayed at the Best Western.

There is a Best Western nearby, would think the extra money to stay there would be money well spent.

The Riverside Inn in charming Dallas, Oregon!Posted Mar 21, 2011
This place is highly recommended! I was able to get a nice room with a very comfortable queen bed for about $50 a night (look for bargain rates, they may be available year-round!). The room was clean, the bathroom clean, and there was no annoying (too) low-flow showerhead that would make it difficult to wash my hair. :) There was a refrigerator and microwave, and nice table to sit at. And heat when I needed it, as much as I needed! My room overlooked a lovely greenbelt area, within eyesight (and sound) of the river. It was close to restaurants and shopping, and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay!

A creek runs by it... sort ofPosted Mar 13, 2011
This motel is old, dirty and noisy. The towels look like gym towels, complete with stains. The floor sqeaked every time I walked around. I would not recommend this motel unless there's nowhere else to stay.
