“needs maintenance”
Nice people - responded promptly to maintenance problem, but hotel is definitely not a 4-star; more like 2 and one-half.
“Great 6 day stay!”
I really enjoyed my recent stay at Southfork Hotel. The room was nice, roomy, cozy, and very close to everything and everyone I wanted to see. The staff were very friendly, and I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone.
“Clean & Affordable”
Enjoyed our stay at South Fork. Breakfast buffet was great, and wait staff were friendly. Room was clean, but a couple of nights there was a loud pump/motor noise that woke us.Desk staff were not very knowledgable about locations of surrounding attractions; couldn't give us accurate directions. Conveniently located right off the highway, and we were within walking distance to historic downtown.
“good value; need friendlier staff”
booked 2 rooms for 3 nights. Pros: Convenient location, got the value we wanted. Cons: Lighting was too dim; front desk staff gruff, not cooperative at check-in. Room coffee pots not cleaned, or restocked every day.
“Great convenience”
We stayed at Southfork for 3 nights while having some remodeling done at our home in Plano. For the price paid, the room was extremely nice. If I could recommend anything, it would be coffee service available in the lobby. The dining room was never open in the morning or evenings. The bar area was the only place open at night that I could see. Every little activity going on except on Thursday. But, we were only there for the room so it worked out great.
“Decent place to stay”
Overall a good experience. We will go back. FYI, it is an older hotel, that has been remodeled. Could use some more updating. Room was clean, and it was close to everyrthing we wanted to get to in Dallas. Again, we will be going back, a good deal for the price.
“Very good value and nice people”
The hotel was clean and the beds were very comfortable. There was no free breakfast like other hotels these days, but the breakfast buffet was pretty good. After a long day working out of town it was to have a driver take us to a nice resturant for dinner one evening.
“Great Place to Stay”
Great staff, great food, great service!
“GREAT PLACE TO STAY NEAR DALLAS!!!!”
This was one of the nicest hotels I have stayed in. Very clean, very quiet and comfortable bed.
“Lovely Hotel”
Nicely remodeled rooms. Very good breakfast buffet. Hot tub and pool very relaxing. Well maintained and a good price and location.
