“Overrated and unacceptable "not impressed at all"”

Initially I was open minded and the reviews during the booking process showed a 4.3 out of 5. So we decided to give it a try and we were certainly sorry we did once we entered the room. Now I can say, things happen, but the rating of 4.3 was not deserved. The hotel was not very clean, when we entered the room the first thing we noticed by the window was a very large "dead" cockroach! The second thing was the shower has mold, black mold in the grout areas. We understood our booking to be a studio suite with full kitchen. OK, the kitchen is very small, but it is full. As for the studio suite... if you call a standard room with a side area for the kitchen a studio suite then that is what we had. BUT, this room was not near 500 square feet, more like 300 max. Very small. The desk was not suitable for doing any business related work. The chair is well below the table comfort zone. The breakfast buffet... more like a continental breakfast with scrambled eggs. Bottom line, this hotel has some low price budget oriented features but it is not a place I would accept as anything above the average hotel. Just a low budget hotel with a little kitchen area - nothing special. Wish I had something more positive to say, I was surprised to have such a low end hotel when we initially booked a higher class rating. This hotel is on the lower end and nothing more. The cockroach on entry certainly stated so... The high review rating is very deceiving.

“Excellent”

I was really impressed with the Staybridge Suites Addison. It looked just like the pictures on the internet. The entire staff, from the front desk to the kitchen staff were very friendly and helpful. I loved my room. It was really nice to have a full stocked kitchen. The couch was very comfortable. I enjoyed watching some TV on the very nice flat screen TV. My bed was also comfortable. My batchroom was great. I totally enjoyed my 4 day stay and will stay there again when I visit my family that lives near by.

“Nice Stay”

The hotel was clean and we had enough towels and everything we needed to make our stay a satisfying and comfortable one. Breakfast was good and they had enough food. When we had arrived, needed to change rooms because we didn't like being on the 1st floor, the front desk agent was extremely helpful, courteous and very professional and made sure that we had the room we wanted. We loved it and will definitely stay there again and again!

“Staybridge Suites”

The room I had was very comfortable ... it was nice to have more than just a room with a bed. There was a decent-sized bathroom, little kitchenette, and little livingroom that was quite comfortable for watching TV and working on my laptop. It was nice to have central heat/air with an actual thermostat but I found that they also kept me awake in neighboring units going off and on. I brought my sound machine which helped nullify the noise somewhat. It was also nice to just walk downstairs to a breakfast already prepared with several choices. I'd definitely recommend it.

“Friendly but pricey - could use improvements”

The rates were high because of the location in apparently one of the ritzier neighborhoods of Dallas and perhaps the fact that this was over the superbowl weekend, although this was a business trip. The service level did not match the rate. One drawback is that the business center consists of a single PC with an attached B/W laser printer. While I was there, the printer ran out of toner. This condition lasted for two days as the staff seemed unprepared for this eventuality and did not have back-up supplies available and did not report it or remedy it within 24 hours as expected. The staff (especially the evening staff) was friendly but this does not excuse the snafu with the business center. Late night service (after midnight) left something to be desired. A nice feature was the midweek wine and hor d'oeuvres. Suites come equipped with a refrigerator, two burner stove and microwave, which is convenient. Rooms come with WiFi and wired internet with a troubleshooting number to assist clients with connectivity problems/ This was courteous, helpful and efficient. Another drawback is that hotel consists of two disconnected buildings. To go from one building to another requires going outside in possibly inclement weather however. Not much variety in food/restaurants in the immediate neighborhood.

“Clean hotel, friendly staff, but, furniture needs replacement”

The hotel was clean and the team members were very good. However, the vanity in the bathroom was falling apart.

Getting around

You need to be careful with the roads in Dallas especially if you're from the North East. For me the service road concept was very confusing. I had to make many tries before I found the correct way for the hotel.

“Excellent Accomodations”

They had a decent breakfast buffet, eggs, bacon, cereal, fruit, bagels, oatmeal, and waffles. They also had a free salad and beer and wine happy hour on tuesday wednesday and thursday evening from 6-8. Everything was clean and the customer service desk was very accomodating, helping me with faxing some information to my rental car and printing out my boarding passes. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone.

I couldn't specify just one as there are so many great local attractions....the botanical garden, outlet mall, IKEA, the uptown trolly...we enjoyed all of it!
