Do not recommend

The hotel was not clean. The area is unsafe...when we arrived a homeless man was at the front door yelling and the hotel had a security staff on hand who did nothing about this. It was myself (a single mom) with my 2 boys and they even felt unsafe and they commented on the rooms being nasty.

Very comfortable, very clean and staff ok.

Pros: I like the beautiful rooms.
Cons: The lighting is a little too dark and the television station does not have any inspirational channels.
Location: I feel the location is fine for shopping and entertainment. Restaurants are plentiful in the area.
Not a bad experience at all. very comfortable stay.

Good for what you pay for it

Posted Jul 20, 2015
Pros: I could see at one time this would have been considered a very nice hotel to stay. the decor is nice, has potential
Cons: overall, I could see the investment of a overall updating to the decor and rooms as being a way to bring this back to great hotel
Location: the location is good if you need easy access to head east/west in northern dallas/garland area and easy access to downtown dallas as well.
recently spent 2 nights here as I needed inexpensive lodging during a visit to dallas. Upon entry to the main lobby, while clean and orderly, a strong musty odor greeted me. Not unbearable but not unpleasant either. The front desk staff was pleasant and courtesy, accessing my reservation and going thru the check in process with ease. I was actually surprised, as I still had to fill out an old fashioned guest card during check in. now, on to the room: The room is definitely as advertised. 2 true size double beds. overall was good, but again, the strong musty/mildew smell which was more relevant in my room. Nothing a good dose of Lysol and Fabrese didn't straighten out easily during my stay. Several spots around the room showed their age from repairs to them primarily in the bathroom and shower head was mounted about 5 feet talk, as I'm 6'2 showering had some fun to it. Hotel only has 1 access point of entry, which makes for a long walk if your room is on the back end of the hotel anywhere. numerous exits are available, but are auto-locking for exit only. an inconvienance but bearable. free Wifi access to guest is available, but when attempted to access it, no connectivity could be seen on my laptop to hook into while in the room, but if I was outside in my car, I could see all the numerous access points. Overall, a dated but decent stay, staff was on point for all and even handled any requests I had as expected, including a last minute decision to do late checkout

Fourth of July

Posted Jul 8, 2015
Pros: Walking distance to Watermark Community Church and less than a mile to the White Rock Creek bicycle trail.
Cons: All rooms should be of the same quality.
I have stayed here before and had a great experience. However, this visit was very disappointing. Although I had a paid-in-full reservation, I was downgraded from one of the regular rooms to a "non-updated room". The explanation I was given was I didn't have a "proper photo ID"... As a result of a traffic ticket, my drivers license was confiscated but the temporary license I was issued at the time of the ticket clearly states, "This document will serve as your temporary driving permit. It is subject to the same restrictions and endorsements as your Texas Drivers License." As a courtesy, I also presented a previous DPS-issued "Temporary License" with my photo and Drivers License number on it as well as an official birth certificate and Social Security Card. I have never had an issue checking into an Expedia hotel under this circumstance before. Personally, I believe I was "downgraded" because I used Expedia rather than the hotel to book. If the ID was REALLY the problem, then they shouldn't have allowed me to check in at all and made arrangements to refund me for my reservation. I would have called Expedia to take care of this issue but it was the Fourth of July weekend and I know hotel rooms are hard to come by at that time.. When I got to my "non-updated room", I noticed a roach on the wall behind the refrigerator. The TV had only 13 channels and no external connectors to allow me to connect my DVD player. Also, very limited housekeeping service.

Pros: Location.... Easy access to I-635 and Hwy 75... Walking distance toWatermark Community Church... White Rock Creek Trail is less than a mile away.
Cons: Better television reception... ESPN networks did not come in clearly.
Location: Close to Bike/Walk/Run Trail... Close to Church... Easy access to two major highways
I had a pleasant stay here... The room was comfortable and clean. There were no issues with housekeeping. The only issue was that the cable reception wasn't very good. The ESPN networks did not come in clearly.

Hotel staff is very nice and funny

Posted Jun 24, 2015
I enjoyed my room and some of the guests there. However there was a few things like the one dog barking constantly and the smell of mold in the entry way and the smell of cigarettes in the hallway that I didn't care for too much. My room definitely needed some minor maintained adjustments but other than that it was an alright place to stay for the night. In n out burger was conveniently 100 ft from the hotel. No bar or breakfast was to b seen. But not a bad place to just get away from the world for a moment. So thank u.

It was a nice hotel for the price. Small, but the rooms was amazingly decorated. Cranit table, desk and so forth. 10 feet from an In-N-Out
