Cons: Reception Staff
Location: nice Location
At check inn they try to sell us the wifi, even though our package included free Wifi they try to foolish us, they end up telling us that if you subscribe to the newsletter it was free. The TV didnĀ“t work, and the shower sink was stuck.

Wonderful hotel!

Posted Aug 15, 2014
I was in town for a conference. I stayed for four nights. Beautiful modern hotel, friendly staff, and excellent customer service. It's located in a quiet charming neighborhood across from SMU. Freeway and public transportation is accessible nearby. Will definitely stay here again.

Great hotel location for SMU functions

Posted Jul 31, 2014
Pros: Location, visual feel in common areas. Staff very accommodating
Cons: Decor in older rooms/ furniture. better use of space
Location: Across the street from SMU in great area of homes/ stores etc.
Excellent location, very modern and visually appealing. New tower rooms are much better decorated than older tower. The LUX suite in old tower is basically a big Motel "6" 3 room hotel room with full kitchen. Except the Kitchen has no dishes/ glass or anything?? Does not even have a coffee maker?? And the point is?? Sofa bed is not usable but air bed is fine.

Nice for Price

Posted Jul 27, 2014
Pros: Valet courteous, staff great.
Location: Right next to SMU
Hotel was clean and felt upscale without being stuffy. Chrome Sculptures throughout were cool, kept finding new ones. Restaurant was a huge surprise. Was not busy, the locals probably do not know this place taste so good! Small, focused, high quality menu.

Nice hotel, great staff

I didn't spend a lot of time at the hotel during my trip, but the staff were very attentive and friendly when I needed them. The room was nice, modern and clean. Would stay again. All of the Kimpton hotels I've stayed at have been well run.

Very Nice Hotel Convenient To Love Field

Posted Jun 6, 2014
Pros: Cool vibe about the place.
Cons: I am used to a coffee maker in the room, even though they had complimentary coffee and small cakes in the lobby.
Location: It was very convenient to Dallas Love Field, and right across the street from Southern Methodist University.
Very cool atmosphere without being too trendy or passe. The staff were all very pleasant and polite. My room was very large and well appointed. I was sorry I couldn't stay longer.

Great boutique hotel.

Posted Jun 4, 2014
Cons: Their gym is nothing to brag about.
Stayed here on a couple business trip and was one of the more moderately priced hotels available in Dallas that week. Great pool/lounge area. The lobby bar/restaurant are fantastic. I have also stayed at the W Victory Park and Hotel Palomar, all of which are nice, but I think Hotel Lumen gives a great bang for the buck. Think this is my new go-to.

Can't Pinpoint My Feelings

Posted May 11, 2014
Pros: The design lobby and pool area.
Cons: Having the rooms cleaned earlier in the day. Quicker response to maintenance issues.
Location: SMU is across the street. It's basically in an upscale residential community. A couple restaurants cii
The hotel is lovely, contemporary, and a great Boutique setting everything I love in a hotel. The staff greeted me by name...the valet's were exceptional. That is why I am trying to pinpoint why I feel as though it was an average experience. There hotel had no power when I arrived and I could not check in. My card key never worked on my door. Housekeeping was so late in the day I was already back and resting when they were ready to clean. Therefore no clean towels or cleaned room. Really not sure I will stay there next week when I am back in Dallas b
