“Will definitely be back”
Many older hotels come across as a bit tired. Not the Warwick. They have thought of every amenity. Service is efficient and genuine, not cloying. I was a bit surprised by the traffic noise, but I sleep with earplugs so it wasn't an issue. If it is an issue for you, request a room away from Oak Lawn. Don't miss the Library Bar and the Landmark Restaurant.
“A old and expensive hotel , but good location”
For that rpice you must offer more that just the room, there's no pool, no gym, no parking.
“Loved the hotel and location but.....”
Absolutely lovely hotel. Vintage but upscale. The only caveat is that I had to pay for my car to be parked on there property. 24.95 a day. Also wireless service was 12.95 per day. I kinda felt nickeled and dimed by these surcharges. Very nice restaurants and clubs in walking distance. Walgreens across the street and Kroger down the block so don't open the mini bar. Great walking city.
“Oak Lawn Hotel Dalls”
My wife and I had the pleasure of staying at the Warwick Melrose Hotel early this April and very much enjoyed it. The rooms are quaint reminding me of some of the better hotels away from Dam Square and close to Singel canal in Amsterdam. Even better, the restaurant was excellent. If you're there on a Sunday, do the brunch. There is also a library (Bar) with wonderful decore, friendly attitude and quality jazz singers on most nights. The best part is the Oak Lawn neighborhood. A diverse area featuring good restaurants, interesting shoppes, cultural opportunities nearby, a nice neighborhood to live in with easy access to all that Dallas has to offer. We didn't require much room service, but what we did went smoothly!
“Incredible experience...”
My initial goal was to find a hotel that was walking distance to a Whole Foods and assorted eateries. I'm used to waking to almost everything in Chicago and prefer not to rent a car. Dallas is not a walking town, but as it turned out, there was a Kroger Grocery with organic produce only four blocks away and lots of cafes in between (the Whole Foods would have been a 1.2 mile hike). I found an excellent rate for this otherwise very pricy hotel and it was a dream to stay in... beautifully restored historic landmark building, friendly service, and located in a very nice, upscale neighborhood. I will surely stay again if I can get a good rate next time.
“Thank you for making our stay special.”
My husband and I enjoyed our stay at the Warwick very much. We look for unique and different hotels when we travel. The Warwick was built in 1924 and is still very elegant without being "stuffy". The hotel is well maintained and staff were excellent, always helpful and friendly. I would recommend the Warwick to anyone. Thank you for making our stay special.
“Excellent uptown Dallas hotel in a very nice commercial neighborhood!”
The Melrose is well known in Dallas and perfectly located in uptown close to good restaurants and shopping areas. It is also close to the AAC to catch a Mavs or Stars game. Service at the Melrose is impeccable and the hotel lobby areas, lobby bar and rooms are very upscale and comfortable.
“4 stars at a 2 star price!!”
My husband & son were able to stay at this hotel only because of Expedia's ability to offer a deal where you choose the hotel before you actually know the name. It was listed in the area where we had to stay, so we gave it a shot. They were NOT disappointed! First class all the way!! They did not eat in the restaurant, so they had no comments about that. The only disappointment was that there is NO FREE WIFI!! Shame that such an expensive place would not allow their guests this amenity for free!! But other than that, it was great, because the cost was just a fraction of their normal charge, and the service was fantastic.
“Can't wait to go back! So beautiful and romantic! My husband and I loved this boutique hotel!”
The hotel was so beautiful and romantic! My husband and I loved this boutique hotel! We will stay here again!
“My stay was wonderful and staff were really hospitable and nice”
The hotel accommodation , staff , room service, valet parking were all great
