“Nice Hotel. Good Location”
Positives: The Hotel was very nice. Room was large and clean. Climate control was excellent. Hotel Library Bar was very nice, busy, but not noisy. Location is great. Restaurant within walking distance. Katy Trail was just a few blocks away. Negative: Only Valet parking that was pricey.
“Lovely old hotel”
We really enjoyed our stay in this old, renovated hotel. Everything was first class. Four and a half star restaurant. Comfortable, cosy lounge. Classy. The only thing was that there was not a lot of room to spread out toiletries in the bathroom, but the size of the bedroom made up for that. I would definitely recommend the Melrose.
“Excellent experience!”
In future, this will be my hotel-of-choice in Dallas.
“Great experience, will definitely go back”
Excellent service and location. The hotel bar "the Library" was a fun and popular location. Very diverse group of people, excellent service.
“Well kept nice hotel”
Well kept nice hotel
“Close to Hospitals”
I would stay here again. The rooms were very big and bright. Dinning was wonderful the best fries I had at lunch and the burger was on the top of my list. This is a very well kept hotel and would recommend it to others. We could have used the Hotel Vehicle to take us to the Hospital they will take you any where in a 3 mile radius. We chose to take our car instead due to the appointments we had and knowing we would be gone all day.
“Excellent uptown Dallas hotel in a very nice commercial neighborhood!”
The Melrose is well known in Dallas and perfectly located in uptown close to good restaurants and shopping areas. It is also close to the AAC to catch a Mavs or Stars game. Service at the Melrose is impeccable and the hotel lobby areas, lobby bar and rooms are very upscale and comfortable.
“I love this hotel”
I visit Dallas every year, and this is my favorite hotel. It's in Oaklawn, right next to Uptown, where I grew up. It's a fantastic part of the city with great restaruants right outside. So, the location could not be better. I didn't eat at the restaurant in the hotel. It seemed kind of snazzy. And most of the people hanging around in the lobby were all dressed up, nicely. I'm more of an average Joe, and don't feel as comfortable among all that pomp and circumstance. This hotel is very nice. It's a historic landmark, and you will find attention to detail, everywhere you look. It's always been the Melrose, but recently became the Warwick Melrose. It seems there was a transformation since the last time I stayed here. Before, it had what I would call "old world charm". But now it seems to have retained much of that charm, with a lot of nice updates. The rooms are immaculate. Everything is updated. There are two flat panel TVs in the suite. There's a small bar. It was fit for someone famous. The staff was pleasant and friendly. Most importantly, the bed was very, very comfortable. You can block out all the light with the nice drapes. I was sleeping till noon a couple times, because I had no idea how late it was.
“We're never disappointed with the Melrose.”
Very clean, very comfortable, and first class service.
“Good location near Uptown”
The location is excellent if you want to hit Uptown, McKinney Avenue and the West Village shops/restaurants.
