Nice hotel - a bit in need of maintenance

We stayed two nights at Wingate Dallas Love Field. Nice location. The hotel was nice and the morning breakfast was nice. The staff was nice. We stayed on the 3rd floor. The carpet smelled very strong as tho a lot of scent had been applied. Smelled very strong in the hallways. The rooms did not smell bad and were nice and clean. Three lights in our room either did not work or were and one was jerry rigged with tape to keep the bulb in it. Other than the lights and the hallway strong scent, it was a nice place to stay.

Location: Location was great...we were shopping at Dallas Market Center
The hotel was fine. It could use a little updating. I think the one thing that bothered me was the smell when walking in the door at lobby and walking down the hall... It was a strong smell of a air freshener that was so strong, it became a little sickening. The beds were clean and nice, comfortable. Bathroom was nice & clean. Did not notice any smell in room at all....just walking in hallways and lobby area...

Tourist trap!

Location: Near downtown, but not walking distance
Beware with your car, the hotel staff call a towing company in the middle of the night to pick up the vehicle. So don't forget to verify if it's visible, because it will cost you a fortune to recover it.

I only have one small suggestion. Tone down the incense. Sandalwood is great but remember, less is better.

Never again.

I chose this hotel to be near Love Field for an early morning flight. Would have gotten more sleep in the airport. The hotel is located next to a cabaret and the night life spilled over to the hotel. Loud music and people yelling at all hours. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone unless you are planning on staying up all night.

Nice enough

Pros: location, price.
Cons: smelled like industrial cleaners.
It is fairly close to a lot of stuff, airport, downtown, hospitals. It is fairly well maintained and cleaned. Overall I can't complain but I can't rave either.

Cons: the bed needs to be replaced
Bed was extremely uncomfortable...very old mattress....could feel the springs and I got a terrible nights sleep! Would not stay there again.
