"Very comfortable hotel close to Centraal Station."
Spent six very comfortable nights at the hotel. The staff were great - very helpful and accommodating, allowing us early check-in and late check-out because of our connections to transport. The hotel restaurant was excellent - full buffet breakfast, and a good a la carte dinner menu. The Sky Lounge (bar) has views over Amsterdam to die for. The room we had wasn't huge, but, in Amsterdam, you are not expected to stay in the room for long ! The location of the hotel was very central - 200m from the tram terminal at Centraal Station - so we had a choice of bus, train, or tram very close to the hotel. (A day-pass can be used on all forms of transport, as often as you like.) All points of interest were within easy access by tram or bus, although you sometimes needed to change trams or buses, so it was good to get some advice first. The hotel front-desk staff were always very willing to help in this regard. Overall,a great week.

Pocket Guide: Amsterdam Dam Square - Central Station Hilton Worldwide Hotels

The bustling heart of Amsterdam, this district attracts hordes of visitors teeming from Centraal Station to Dam Square and its beautiful Nieuwe Kerk (14th-century). The oldest part of town, Oude Zijde, is famous for its Red Light District, but the University and the docks bring a different kind of colour and buzz to the narrow streets. Don't miss the Oude Kerk, the Amstelkring Museum or the paintings in the Amsterdam Museum.
