"Thank you for The Lizzie's"
We arrived very hot and uncomfortable from the journey on the train from the airport, standing room only with temperature in excess of 30degrees. The reception at the hotel were absolutely wonderful, even though we were several hours early for check-in they managed to get us a room very quickly enabling us to refresh ourselves and go out to enjoy this beautiful City. The room was beautiful and looked out over the roof tops. The air conditioning was gorgeous we kept popping back to the hotel for a rest and a cool, total bliss. The lovely ice machine at the end of the hall was very welcome also. The bar downstairs had the most lovely steward who made the most amazing cocktails. I am now addicted to the Lizzie which is a mix of Amaretto, Chambord and Pineapple juice (A real must try). I would recommend this hotel to any & everyone. All of the staff were fantastic and the R Navigator was superb, offering recommendations, advice and directions to lots of fabulous places. Go and enjoy. Thank You to everyone at the Renaissance for an amazing 20th anniversary break.

Pocket Guide: Amsterdam Dam Square - Central Station Marriott Hotels

The bustling heart of Amsterdam, this district attracts hordes of visitors teeming from Centraal Station to Dam Square and its beautiful Nieuwe Kerk (14th-century). The oldest part of town, Oude Zijde, is famous for its Red Light District, but the University and the docks bring a different kind of colour and buzz to the narrow streets. Don't miss the Oude Kerk, the Amstelkring Museum or the paintings in the Amsterdam Museum.
